Independent video game developer Mass Creation and publisher PixelHeart recently announced that the side-scrolling martial arts action game Shing will be launching for Nintendo Switch and Xbox One systems on January 21, 2021. Along with the digital versions, physical versions of the game will also be launched via the PixelHeart webstore.

The digital versions of Shing will be priced at 19.99 EUR/USD, and will come standard with all previously released improvements, such as the secret bosses, the alternative control scheme, and more. The Switch version is currently available to preorder at a 25% discount. And for Switch players who own Corridor Z, Shing will also come with a 10% discount for a week after the launch date. The Switch and PS4 versions will also have Limited Edition physical copies of the game, which are currently available to preorder.

According to the official press release, Shing allows you to play as a wisecracking ninja warrior gathering and leading a party of other wisecracking ninja warriors. Shing is done in the style of a classic beat ‘em up adventure game, but has a much more advanced freestyle combat system. You’ll be able to perform some agile combat feats, including “angled combos, counters, aerials, parries and more”. You also have the option of playing as one character through the game, or you can switch instantly to one of the three other playable characters at any time in order to utilize their individual martial art skills, including the abilities “to chain attacks, revive allies, or strategically bank power-ups for upcoming bosses or challenge rooms.”

Shing also supports 4-player local co-op play, and will be bringing online co-op play in soon. Solo or in a group, you’ll battle your way through 14 different enemy types, and across eight game stages, each with its own unique environments and boss battles.
