Silent Hill fans have been waiting since October last year for any more information about the Silent Hill 2 Remake and James Sunderland's handsome face. Bloober Team has been taking its time with the title, but that's probably for the best, considering the number of games coming out with performance issues. However, it seems like we will soon get more information about the remake, and perhaps Silent Hill: Townfall, Silent Hill F, and Silent Hill Ascension as well. The news comes via insider, Dusk Golem, who has often been spot-on with information regarding Silent Hill. According to them, we might see trailers for these games very soon, maybe even before Summer Games Fest. "But I'll just say there's a new SH2R, Town[fall] & Ascension trailer ready to be revealed at last." They then went on to say that a Silent Hill 2 Remake trailer could be revealed even before Summer Games Fest, which will be held on June 8.And then, over on their Twitter handle, Dusk Golem put up two polls asking followers which Silent Hill Project they think we'll see first, and also if they think Resident Evil 4 Remake's Separate Ways DLC will be announced "at some event within the next month", which is essentially Summer Games Fest.

Silent Hill 2 Remake was the highest voted option for the first question with a resounding 83.1 percent of the votes. While 61.7 percent of the voters felt the Separate Ways DLC will be featured at the showcase. Now, these Tweets don't really reveal anything, but they do suggest Dusk Golem knows something we don't.

As for why there's been no more information on the remake as of yet, Bloober Team has said that it is taking a "very safe approach". This is not only with regard to the technical side of the game, but also to ensure that they "faithfully stick to the traditional story canon." Bloober Team chief marketing officer Anna JasiÅ„ska said that "longtime fans shouldn’t worry about us “missing the point” while we’re livening up the title."

In fact, CEO Piotr Babieno suggested that the game is mostly ready, but the release schedule and promotion is being handled by Konami. “Silent Hill 2 is technically ready,” explained Babieno. "It does not mean that the game is finished, but we are close. However, the issue of the release schedule lies with our partners, what the promotion will look like and when the title will debut is not directly in our hands."

According to Sam Barlow, however, no matter what Bloober Team does, there will always be fans who will be disappointed with the remake no matter what.
