Konami has revealed a brand new Silent Hill game is in development called Silent Hill: Townfall. The game is being developed by Annapurna Interactive along with No Code, the developers behind titles such as Stories Untold and Obvservation. We couldn't glean much from the game's very brief teaser trailer, but No Code creative director Jon McKellan explained that the game will be a "little bit different" from your standard Silent Hill game.

Seeing as though it's Annapurna and No Code developing the title, we can probably assume it will have a strong focus on storytelling. The game's trailer pretty much consists of what appears to be a CG sequence of an old pocket television, as the camera slowly zooms into it. The screen then flickers as a man explains that they are stuck in a location by some unknown people as a result of doing something "awful."

The man then talks to assumedly the player, who thinks that you're with him for some other reason and is pretty worried about what that reason might be. There are also short segments throughout the trailer which shows information about Silent Hill: Townfall being washed away by the tide, so that could hint that the game possibly takes place in a seaside town of some kind.

That's pretty much all the info the teaser trailer gave us, but creative director Jon McKellan does reveal that more of the game will be shown off in the new year. He also mentions that people just thoroughly comb through the trailer for information, meaning there could be some hidden clues about what the game will include or what will go down.

Townfall was just one of the Silent Hill games shown off by Konami today, as it also finally revealed the long-rumored Silent Hill 2 remake which is now confirmed to be in development over at Bloober Team. We also got to see a brand new game in the series announced called Silent Hill: f, although we also don't know very much about that title either.
