The 100 Baby Challenge is the perfect way to tackle a new Sims 4 playthrough while spicing up the gameplay.
Many Simmers have attempted to complete the 100 Baby Challenge, one of the hardest challenges there is for The Sims 4. Not only is it quite difficult but it also requires a ton of patience and multitasking.
The objective is to have 100 babies in as few generations as possible. Simple enough, right? No, not all. Especially when there are 4 screaming toddlers and 2 moody teenagers that need to be taken care of.
10 Lot Traits
Believe it or not, not all Sims players know that they can attribute their home lot its own traits. There are negative and positive lot traits, depending on the lot's purpose throughout the playthrough.
For the 100 Baby Challenge in particular there a few lot traits that actually come in quite handy. According to the challenge's rules, the player may assign traits if the lot doesn't have any, however, if the lot already has its own traits they cannot be changed.
The most useful lot traits for the challenge are Good Schools, Romantic Aura, Child's Play, and On Ley Line.
9 Personality Traits
Although players taking on the challenge can only decide the first Sim's personality traits, it's still useful to get a head start and it'll surely impact the gameplay straight away and prove useful.
There are several traits that would be considered optimal for this challenge.
The Romantic trait makes it so that the Sim is often Flirty, however, they will be upset if they don't have romantic interactions for a while. The Self-Assured trait will cause the Sim to occasionally feel confident, thus making it possible to use the "Bold Pick-Up Line" dialogue option that guarantees success. Childish, Family-oriented, and Outgoing are other great options.
8 Super Parent Aspiration
Those that own the Parenthood Game Pack will be happy to know that the Super Parent Aspiration is perfect for this challenge. By having kids throughout life, the Sim will naturally complete this aspiration without much effort, thus earning Satisfaction Points. Making it easier to purchase Satisfaction Reward Traits.
However, the Big Happy Family Aspiration is a good base game aspiration to aim towards as well. The Bonus Trait for completing this aspiration will allow the Sims to give their children skill gaining boosts when around.
7 Buy A Good Bed
Purchasing a good bed for the mother is a must to complete the 100 Baby Challenge. Taking care of up to 7 kids at a time is no field trip and it can easily get extremely chaotic and overwhelming.
A Sim will be fully rested much faster if they sleep on a quality bed, giving them more time to cook, clean, work on improving skills, and to take care of the kids. So it's best to hold back before spending every simoleon on house plants and clutter and instead get a good bed.
6 Stay Pregnant
Pregnant Sims have two advantages, they don't age and they can't die. This can be taken advantage of. It's the perfect time to tinker with appliances that are often used, such as the refrigerator, the multiple showers, and computers that will undoubtedly be constantly used in a house full of Sims.
On top of that, getting pregnant as soon as the newborn baby is born is important because the clock stops ticking for the mother. Time's a wastin'. So, while pregnant, start working on winning over the next baby daddy right away in order to move on to the next pregnancy right away.
5 Satisfaction Rewards
As a Sim completes aspiration milestones and wishes throughout their life, they receive Satisfaction Points that can then be used to purchase rewards. There is a wide variety of rewards, from potions to permanent boosts and new traits.
Sleep Replacement is always handy when taking care of so many kids. However, traits and boosts like Incredibly Friendly, Beguiling, and Fertile are especially useful when it comes to the 100 Baby Challenge. Incredibly Friendly boosts friendships immensely, Beguiling makes seems easier to woo, and Fertile increases the chances of having twins or triplets.
4 Cooking
It's important to make sure to take a few hours of the day off and dedicate them to cooking. Toddlers can be a bit of a pain to feed in The Sims so it's much easier to just cook a bunch of meals and drag a portion out of the fridge instead of resorting to quick meals.
And it's perfectly fine to let the toddler freely eat it on the floor instead of wasting time with high chairs. Keep fresh fruit around is also great because it'll give the Sim a happy moodlet and fill their bellies.
3 Paint, Paint, Paint
Since the matriarch is not allowed to get a job that requires leaving the house, painting is one of the best ways to make money and still take care of the children. The Painting skill is one of the most profitable skills in the game.
Plus, interior and exterior decoration can be expensive, especially when most of one's Simoleons are spent on taking care of multiple children. So, not only is it good for making money from home but it's also an inexpensive way to decorate said home.
2 Stall Bathrooms
Let's face it, stalls aren't exactly the most beautiful decor item but they sure are useful. Taking into consideration that it's more than likely to have 8 Sims home at a certain point during the 100 Baby Challenge.
A few Sims will inevitably have to use the bathroom at the same time which will create chaos and despair. Stalls are a great way to avoid building multiple bathrooms and avoid "accidents" which will lead to Embarrassed moodlets. So, if having a school-like bathroom isn't much of an issue, this can be a time saver.
1 Keep An Older Sibling Around
According to the challenge's rules, it's okay to keep an older (Young Adult) sibling around as long as they don't get a job outside their home lot. But this doesn't mean that they can't stick around and help out around the house, such as improving appliances and make meals for example. Perhaps even take on a freelancing job from home.
An older sibling can help reduce workload and take care of the children, this comes in handy especially when the matriarch is out meeting new bachelors.
