An eagle-eyed Sims 4 player has uncovered a mysterious (and potentially gruesome and criminal) detail in one of the apartments in San Myshuno.

Redditor u/MrLorente recently began a thread in the r/GamingDetails subreddit bringing attention to this interesting detail. The thread was entitled "In The Sims 4 theres an apartment very cheap. If you remove the carpet of the salon, you find a really weird gift." and featured a screenshot of a seemingly normal apartment, sans one concerning detail peeking out from underneath the table holding the TV - a white outline of a body on the floor.

With over two thousand upvotes and a myriad of comments, it's clear that other Sims 4 players haven't missed this interesting floor plan either. But what exactly does it mean?

Astute players of The Sims 4 will likely be able to recognize this caption and photo from the infamous 1313 21 Chic Street. It comes with the lot trait "Needs TLC", features the ever ominous number "13" twice in its address, and is described with the following summary: "This place is incredibly, suspiciously cheap. It's like the Landlord can't give it away...".

Several redditors with experience living in the notorious apartment commented on some other interesting features of the place, including the permanency of the body outline and the fact that it gives off a strange aroma that can only be gotten rid of if a Sim mops that area.

Another helpful redditor commented with a link to a video by "Chrillsims3", a YouTuber who frequently uploads Sims-related content. One of his videos, entitled "SimFacts - The Huge Murder Mystery (The Sims 4)" covers the mysterious body outline in apartment 1313 21 Chic Street. The incredibly detailed video delves into a long and compelling theory that the body outline is actually a pop culture reference to the Friends episode, "The One Where Mr. Heckles Dies". The episode featured the last appearance of the character Mr. Heckles, a cranky neighbor who lived below Rachel and Monica. When he died suddenly, no one in the episode could figure out how it happened. In Chrillsims3's video, he theorizes that this body outline is connected to the mystery raised regarding Mr. Heckles's death.

Of course, as EA and Maxis have never officially confirmed this theory, everything is completely up to speculation. As one redditor commented, it could just be a huge, long, and elaborate mess.
