The Sims 4 began a new way of introducing occult life states by using separate game and expansion packs, rather than putting them together. The Realm of Magic game pack brought us spellcasters, the new version of witches and wizards. We also got a new world, containing a magical realm, as well as furniture, clothing, and of course magic itself.
The spellcasting system is fairly extensive, with specializations, skills, curses, and potion making as well as spell casting. However, there are a few things that we can't help wishing were included. Luckily custom content creating simmers have come to the rescue. Here are our top finds for CC designed to perfectly compliment Realm of Magic.
Updated January 15, 2020, By Helen Ashcroft With the announcement of The Sims 4: Paranormal, magic is back in our minds. The upcoming stuff pack looks set to include all kinds of supernatural gameplay including developing a medium skill and holding séances. There's even a rumor that spellcasters will have an advantage.
While we wait for the pack we've found some more Realm of Magic custom content to enhance our Spellcaster's home and looks in order to prepare them for what's to come. Every spellcaster needs some of these mystical items and they'll fit right in as we further explore the supernatural realm in The Sims 4.
15 Raven Bed By Luna Loba Sims
This raven bed by Luna Loba Sims is a recolor of the Realm of Magic bed and adds a beautiful raven to the bedding. It's also purple which looks stunning against some of the other furniture.
If you have the Vampires Game Pack, then this bed will look especially at home with some of the victorian and gothic items from that pack which use the same purple in their swatches.
14 Modular Portal By Sweet Taco Plumbob
If you've ever wished the magic portal was more versatile then this modular portal by Sweet Taco Plumbob is for you. It separates the portals from the outer archway allowing you to place them inside other archways using build cheats.
The pack includes three sets of portals that link together allowing you to use them for different purposes.
13 Tangled Wall Decals By Sassy Miss Ollie
As always children are somewhat neglected in this pack, so if you want to add an enchanting touch to your kid's rooms then these Tangled wall decals by Sassy Miss Ollie are the answer. There are 15 in total and they come in two styles.
Some are tower blueprints showing a deconstruction of Rapunzel's tower from Tangled. The others are drawings based on the movie.
12 Custom Wands By Lauren Bell 2016
This collection of custom wands by Lauren Bell covers a few different styles of wand but most are vibrant and unique. The darkness wand is the plainest and many other swatches are similar in style to the firefly wand. If you are the kind of spellcaster who wants to help or one that just wants to cause chaos, there's a wand for you.
You'll find a princess wand, wand of twinkles, wand of truth, wand of love, pegasus, and unicorn wand, amongst others. You can purchase them all at the wand store in the Magical Realm.
11 Broom Replacement Set By Lulu The Cute Sim
If you fancy a change for your brooms then these broom replacement sets by Lulu The Cute Sim are perfect. They replace the standard brooms with new swatches that offer a different range of colors.
You can choose from matte, soft, mixed, or bright palettes and they will show up in place of the default swatches for this broom. They even keep the glowing effect.
10 Realm Of Magic Matching Cabinets By Menaceman 44
If you begin building a house with the Realm of Magic furniture you'll quickly notice that the kitchen has no wall cabinets. It is incredibly annoying that you can have a great looking stove, fridge, and counter but be unable to match it, until now.
A user by the name of Menaceman 44 has been hard at work replicating the design onto matching wall cupboards, including a full-height option, and we're very thankful. You can download the collection on Mod The Sims.
9 Decorative Floating Furniture By Illogical Sims
What magical house doesn't need floating furniture? While we understand it may not be very practical, it looks amazing. With all those half-empty rooms in magic HQ, there are spaces just crying out for this creation by Illogical Sims.
The objects are purely decorative, with no other swatches, but we're glad Josh chose to share them with us on his Tumblr page. They add a spooky and unique touch to a mystical build.
8 Sim City Prints - Realm of Magic Edition By Stellar Elite
If your spellcasters home feels a little bland then Stellar Elite has you covered with these beautiful sci-fi and occult-themed prints. They are available on Tumblr and come with 2 frame styles and both black and white frame swatches.

6 Sims Medieval Set By Zx-ta

The items have been converted from The Sims Medieval by Zx-Ta and are available to download on Tumblr. Now you can rock the old school occult vibes, just make sure you keep an eye out for the witch hunters.
5 Practical Magic Set By Magnolian Farewell
For sims who prefer their equipment to be more up to date and dainty, this set from Magnolian Farewell is just the ticket. Giving off natural healing and herbologist vibes, this practical magic set contains a spellbook, cauldron, and test tubes.
You can download the pieces from Magnolian Farewell's Tumblr, where you can also check out the different swatches for all three items.
4 Apothecary Cabinet By Bramblefinch
Every good healer needs an apothecary cabinet and bramblefinch has produced a perfect solution. Originally the clutter was movable but this caused some issues, so the item now comes as mostly one piece.
You can take a look at the full details and download the incredibly detailed cabinet on Tumblr. Bramblefinch also has many more occult CC items to take a look at, including new gravestones and pentangle rugs.
3 Spellbound And Apothecary Clutter By Brazen Lotus
If the exquisite but ginormous cabinet is too much for your space then Brazen Lotus' clutter is a great alternative. These are two separate sets, Spellbound Clutter and Apothecary Clutter.
Both sets are decor items that can be used to personalize your spellcaster's space. Bottles, books, vials, and jars can help bring life to a potion-making area so make sure to check them out.
2 Hogwarts House Canvases By Sims And Rebellion
All spellcasters must start somewhere and that somewhere is wizarding school. For fans of Harry Potter, CC creators have made sure you can rep your house of choice in a variety of ways. These simple posters with house crests and values are some of the best we've seen.
CC of this theme is abundant but sometimes you just want simplicity. A poster on a wall is a neat way to show where your spellcaster was trained. Check them out on Sims & Rebellion's Tumblr.
1 Pufferhead Stuff By Mlys Makes
For those who want to go all out on the wizarding school idea, we present the huge fan-made stuff pack, Pufferhead Stuff. This pack expands on The Sims 4's version of a heroic wizard, Henry Puffer. Taking the poster as inspiration Mlys Makes took it to the next level and beyond.
You can check out all the contents and details on the Mlysmakescc Website. There's so much to see that the pack even has its own renders and a trailer. What more could you want?
