Siralim Ultimate is the latest title in the long-running Siralim series. It’s a wonderful blend of procedural generation, turn-based combat, monster management, and complex interwoven systems. It may look simple on the surface, but this is a deep RPG with a rich set of mechanics that can be hard to get into.

Right from the get-go, you can be easily overwhelmed by the sheer number of options at your disposal. Between the 10+ classes, numerous shops, smiths, and crafters, and the never-ending barrage of quests, where do you even start? We’ve got a few tips to make that learning process a bit smoother.

Don’t Worry About Your Class

One of the best aspects of Siralim Ultimate is its dedication to providing an interesting roster of classes to choose from. There are 15 in total, and every one of them plays very differently. For example, running an Animator will provide a drastically different set of mechanics and gameplay styles than running a Hell Knight or an Inquisitor.

This can be very overwhelming at the start of the game - it is literally the second choice you make (the first one being your name). Don’t worry though, as much as this choice will dictate your general playstyle it is not a permanent choice. Later in the game, you can try out different classes, making this first one a temporary choice at best. Pick one that looks cool and have a blast.

Your Party Is Important

Your Class is very much a passive benefit to your combat squad. Most of your prowess will come from the party you decide to form. Parties are made up of anywhere between one and six monsters, and each monster comes with a unique statline and special abilities. For example, an Ent heals your entire party every round, whilst a Hell Hound will buff your team when combat begins.

There is a lot of depth here, as there are hods of monsters to Summon to your side. Not only that, classes synergise with certain monsters, compositions, sizes, and even positioning. The Evoker will make all of your spell casters more powerful, whilst the Reaver prefers weaker monsters.

The Animator is arguably the most impacted. Their Animatus gets more powerful based on how your team is organised, how many of them die in battle, and all sorts of other interesting ways. It really forces you to pay attention to the small details in ways other games simply don't.

Know Your Playstyle

Class and party are important, but both of these things tie into a greater category - playstyle. If you want to get far in Siralim Ultimate, you need to understand your playstyle and then do everything in your power to push that mode of play to the maximum. You don’t want beefcakes one-shotting enemies as the Reaver, and you don’t want intellectually challenged monsters running with a Cabalist.

Siralim gives you a fantastic breakdown of every class and their playstyle. With a bit of reading, you can figure out how the game wants you to play. Pick a class that sounds interesting, build a party that goes well with that class, and then work on tweaking your approach to maximise your playstyle.

Turn On Turbo Mode

Siralim Ultimate Turbo Mode options

Battles in Siralim Ultimate are not particularly long, but they can be made to go faster. This is a godsend once you have been playing for a while as not every battle requires precise or constant decision-making. This is where Turbo Mode comes into play - and it is something you want to turn on eventually.

Hidden away in the Gameplay Options menu, you can knock this on, and then all you have to do is hold the “Confirm” button, and your team will quickly input a basic attack command. Not only that, you can customise each monster's strategy when using Turbo Mode. This lets you tailor your auto-battling to your party's unique needs.

Experiment With Your Perks

Perks are powerful abilities you unlock by progressing through the game. They can drastically increase the efficacy of your party, but it can be difficult to figure out which ones are worth taking, and when. Mix in 15 classes and a bunch of monsters, and analysis paralysis can start sneaking into the mix.

Thankfully, Siralim Ultimate has you covered. When you are back at Siralim Castle, you can simply go to your Magic Wardrobe and redistribute all of your Perk Points. This means you can experiment to your heart's content, or even tailor your build to suit a specific challenge. Very little is set in stone in Siralim Ultimate.

Build Your Fortune

Power can be gained in several ways in Siralim. Levelling up is an obvious one, but you can also exchange resources for powerful artefacts and spells. These resources can be hard to come by, but there are ways to increase your income. The biggest being Fortune.

Fortune is a system that allows you to gain more loot when exploring Realms providing your party doesn’t get wiped. As long as you are building an undefeated streak, you are going Fortune. The more you have, the faster you will generate resources. It’s a simple system that provides endless benefits.

Realm Quests And Perk Points

We’ve already covered Perks, but how do you get the points required to unlock Perks? The simple answer is Realm Quests. When you go pottering into the wilds of Siralim, you will be given a quest. These are nearly always short and simple, but completing them will reward you with Perk Points.

The gameplay loop becomes a cycle of going to a new realm, or a deeper portion of an already visited Realm, and completing a Realm Quest before moving on. Do enough and you can exchange these rewards for Perks and, as a result, grow stronger.
