Skyrim is home to many hilarious mods, from those that replace all of Skyrim’s dragons with Macho Man Randy Savage to mods that let you take Shang-Chi as your own personal bodyguard. But a recent Reddit thread has unearthed an older mod that’s truly in a leaf of its own.

It’s called the Louis Cultivation Kit mod, and as the name suggests, it allows the player to cultivate their own followers, all of which are named Louis. The mod was published back in 2013 by mod maker Higeyosi, who adapted the Louis model from a Japanese mod site of questionable repute.

The mod is fairly simple. First, head to Arcadia's Cauldron in Whiterun and purchase the Louis Seed, which sort of looks like an unripe avocado. Next, head to your homestead and plant the Louis Seed in the ground. Note that this will require the Hearthstone expansion or at least one of the various all-in-one editions of Skyrim.

Now all you need to do is wait a while and watch Louis sprout right out of the ground. Being a newborn plant person, Louis is entirely naked and will need to be given equipment to be a proper fighter, but what do you expect from a harvested human?

Best of all, Louis will come into the world already sprouting seeds. Check in Louis's inventory for another Louis seed, then plant it and start the whole process over again. You can have up to ten Louis followers at once, so be sure to have ten sets of armor and weapons at the ready.

We're always on the lookout for weird and wonderful Skyrim mods. Check out this mod spotted by PCGamesN that changes the Molag Bal quest so you don't necessarily have to kill everyone. It adds several dialog options that result in everyone being talked back from a homicidal rampage and the option to destroy the mace to foil Bal's plans.
