It's time to celebrate the holidays, and what better way to do that than to hunker down and play some video games? Skyrim would be a nice festive title to boot up, as walking through the snow-covered forests sounds like just the thing to put you in the right mood. However, if that's not Christmassy enough for you, one modder has created a new Christmas-themed side quest for you to play through that will see you dive into a snow globe.

The quest is called Spirit of Saturalia - A Christmas Quest and was created by modders wSkeever and Kreiste. With the mod downloaded, you will receive a note the next time you enter a big city and will be tasked with traveling to a specific bandit camp to retrieve a snow globe. Once found, you'll be able to interact with the snow globe, which will then teleport you to a lovely wooden cottage.

I won't go into the details of the quest here so you can experience it for yourself, but you will get to meet the fully-voiced Spirit of Saturalia. For fans unfamiliar with The Elder Scrolls lore, Saturalia is a holiday celebrated by Bretons in the run-up to the New Life Festival that takes place at the end of every calendar year. The festival features big trees, elaborate costumes, and reindeer, pretty much making it an Elder Scrolls version of Christmas.

If you want to see what the quest looks like and what it entails, you can check out wSkeever's video that they uploaded to their YouTube channel. Be aware that if you want to experience the quest as intended, you'll also need to download the "Krieste's Christmas Fantasy Outfit" mod to get all the snazzy clothes you see in the video. Both mods can be found on Nexus Mods, as can a couple of Ko-Fi and Patreon links if you feel like throwing wSkeever or Krieste a Christmas tip. Tis the season after all.
