In the Third Age, the daedric prince of destruction, Mehrunes Dagon, almost destroyed all of Tamriel when his cult opened the Oblivion Gates, unleashing a wave of daedra that wiped out the city of Kvatch. They would have wiped out many more had a mysterious hero not infiltrated the Mythic Dawn cult and figured out a way to stop their evil plans.
What’s most unfortunate about the Mythic Dawn is that after the events of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, they were all wiped out. By the time of Skyrim’s Fourth Age, all that’s left is Silus Vesuius, a crazy fanboy who gathers Mythic Dawn artifacts like it's a blasphemous stamp collection.
If only the Mythic Dawn weren’t dedicated to the “cleansing” of Tamriel. Then we’d still have their cool-ass armor in Skyrim. Thankfully, we have Mankar Camoran’s Mythic Dawn Armor SE mod to correct this injustice.
"The cultists of the Mythical Dawn, whose hands interrupted the Septim dynasty, wore this armor at the end of the Third Era," reads the mod’s description. "Even if over time these armors have lost the opportunity to be summoned, they still provide good protection."
As the name suggests, this mod adds the Mythic Dawn armor from Oblivion. It comes in both heavy and light armors, and you can change their class at any time using the forge. The armor looks significantly improved since Oblivion, which you can see in the screenshots above. The mod also adds the one-handed Morgenstern weapon, which is basically a bloody morningstar.
Camoran said we'll "know where to find" the armor and weapon, which either means with Silus Vesuius in Dawnstar or at the shrine of Mehrunes Dagon just southeast of Morthal. Download the Mythic Dawn Armor mod over on Nexus Mods.
