Loading screen tips in The Elder Scrolls get pretty repetitive. Yes, Oblivion, I am aware that people don't like it when I stick a sword in their face. Obviously, I shouldn't stay in someone's house when they tell me to leave (unless you're crouching, of course). Thankfully, Skyrim fans have found a way to spice them up a bit.

SarcasticDragon's Snarky Loading Screens is a mod that does exactly what it says on the tin - it makes the loading screen messages incredibly sarcastic. The 2017 mod is suddenly taking off on Reddit, with fans loving the fourth-wall-breaking gags the creator adds to the game.

"Trolls are degenerate idiots that primarily exist in the depths of the kingdoms of Reddit, 4Chan, YouTube, and Twitter, which are bizarre lands far from Skyrim, so don't worry about them", reads one of the loading screens. "Dark elf blood grants 50% resistance to fire. They can use gasoline to cloak themselves in fire, for a short time", reads another.

While the mod is five years old, it's blowing up on the Skyrim subreddit. This isn't too surprising to see, given the recent re-release would have brought back old players, looking for a way to make their billionth playthrough a little different.

If you're looking for something even more expansive to change in your latest Skyrim run, consider this Cyberpunk-esque mod we reported on recently. The Fort Knox mod gives you an entirely new area to explore - the real world. You enter the area by taking off a VR headset, implying you've actually been playing a game within a game the whole time. You're then free to roam around the new, futuristic city, which is quite unlike anything you'd ever find in Skyrim. Sure, it might be a little tonally jarring, but come on, we've seen all that the base game has to offer at this point, surely.
