CW: Sexual Assault

Abuse has no gender - something that the esports world received a grim reminder of today. Professional Smash player Puppeh has, in a shocking and disturbing post on Twitlonger, detailed his abuse at the hands of fellow pro Cinnpie.

The account is harrowing, to say the least. The abuse reaches as far back as 2016, when Puppeh was 14 and Cinnpie was 24. Cinnpie tackled Puppeh to the ground and began to force herself on him at a party, shared a bed with him on several occasions, and solicited oral sex - among other things. All the while, she promised that she would get together with him when he turned eighteen.

What followed was a series of abuses that psychologically scarred the young player. Cinnpie would force Puppeh to delete chats, gaslight him, and demand that he never tell anyone. This affected Puppeh's ability to attend pro events, as he was forced to play doubles with her and her boyfriend on a weekly basis. He notes in his post that he "would BM every set in doubles," saying that he "never knew how to process [those] emotions at the time."

Cinnpie has not commented as of this writing.

This is, obviously, a horrific abuse on several levels. The age and maturity gap between a 24-year-old and a 14-year-old is vast, and it's a special kind of evil for anyone to abuse that - not to mention illegal. Make no mistake: what Puppeh details here constitutes not only sexual assault, but child molestation.

As details begin to emerge, we can only hope that Cinnpie is forced to answer for both her disgusting abuse of power and sadistic, craven predatory behavior.
