The SNES Classic was just announced yesterday, and could very well be the hottest console release of 2017.

As some of you may recall from 2016’s Holiday release of the NES Classic, it might turn out to be impossible to find since the NES flew off shelves faster than they could be stocked.

But if you’re desperate for some classic SNES action, you’ve come to the right place. We’ve done the research on where to buy so you don’t have to. Here’s where you can pre-order your SNES Classic and avoid the in-store gladiatorial combat.

US/Canada

Bad news for North American buyers: currently the SNES Classic is not available for pre-order anywhere. However, Nintendo anticipates that pre-orders will be available soon; it looks like online retailers are just making sure their systems can handle the stampede as soon as this baby goes on sale.

Both Best Buy and Amazon have pre-order pages constructed but are not currently taking orders. You can keep checking both of those links daily, or hit up the Nintendo Life website for more info as soon as Nintendo gets it.

SNES Classic Europe

UK

It’s good news and bad news for those on the beautiful Isles. The SNES Classic was available for pre-sale from Amazon, GAME, and ShopTo, so some of you may have already snagged a copy, but everybody has stopped taking pre-orders since they immediately ran out of confirmed stock. That’s the bad news.

The good news is that all those online retailers will be taking pre-orders again once they have confirmed their stock levels with Nintendo. The Nintendo Store in the UK is also taking pre-registration for orders, so you can be the first to know when consoles are available once again.

PREVIOUSLY: YOU CAN BUY THE SNES CLASSIC ON EBAY

If you just can’t wait and need to confirm your console now you could take to eBay, but be prepared to spend out the nose for the privilege as scalpers are jacking up prices quite a bit.

Australia

Only good news for the Aussies! The SNES Classic is available for pre-order from EB Games now. It is not currently available from Amazon, but like North America, you can likely expect to see it there soon too.
