Sega's biggest announcement at E3 was the reveal of a Sonic-themed pizza cutter, and the product now has its very own, incredibly strange, launch trailer.

Despite the notable absences from this year's E3, it was once again an incredibly newsworthy few days. Square Enix was the big winner, releasing trailers for both Final Fantasy VII Remake and Avengers: A-Day. Nintendo also revealed a fair bit of exciting news, including the next two characters who will be DLC in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

One of Nintendo's other big reveals was the announcement of Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. That would be pretty much the only announcement Sonic was involved with at E3 this year. We say pretty much because Sega decided to use its booth to flaunt its brand new Sonic pizza cutter. It sounds weird, but this past week it got even weirder.

PREVIOUSLY: Sega's Biggest E3 Announcement Was A Sonic Pizza Cutter

Apparently letting us know a Sonic pizza cutter exists wasn't enough. Sega has since released an official launch trailer for the kitchen utensil via Sonic the Hedgehog's Twitter account. As trailers go, they don't get much stranger than this one. Brace yourself and view it below. Once you do, the next time you see the Sonic the Hedgehog movie trailer, you likely won't think it's nearly as bad as you first thought. Perhaps that's the goal here.

We're not sure what our favorite part of the above trailer is. The use of Comic Sans, which we shouldn't need to tell you is never okay, or the cutter's users demonstrating that it can be used on other items aside from pizza. Apparently, after birthday cake, the trailer's creators ran out of actual things they could have used it on so resorted to bamboo and yes, the moon.

Joking aside, our hope is that the above trailer is designed to be downright terrible. If not, we give Sega until the end of the year before it disappears forever. In all fairness, it has made us more inclined to invest in an official Sonic pizza cutter. If you're currently feeling the same way, you can purchase them on Sega's online store for $16.95. Don't be stingy guys, that trailer must have cost a lot of money, so open your wallets and give back.
