Once the T-800 gameplay trailer for Mortal Kombat 11 launched, fans were immediately excited over his eventual arrival. As exciting as the trailer was for many, information has dropped that Terminator protagonist Sarah Connor will get her own skin in Mortal Kombat 11.

This information dropped on Tuesday when Mortal Kombat 11 creative director Ed Boon posted a teaser to Twitter. The video itself is rather short, but the Sarah Connor outfit is very faithful to her Terminator 2: Judgment Day counterpart.

The video can be seen below:

The video starts with the T-800 stepping on a burning picture of a girl, who could be a young Sarah Connor or another character from the Terminator universe. The T-800 raises his shotgun and rests the barrel on his shoulder.

Then, a turret drops from the sky and immediately points in the T-800's direction. Sonya Blade then enters the frame, appearing identical to Sarah Connor from Terminator 2 in her getup.

The T-800 asks if she is Sarah Connor. Sonya then reveals her true identity, but the T-800 readies his shotgun for battle and says, "Also targeted for termination."

The final frame of the trailer shows the phrase "You're Next" in Mortal Kombat-style text.

The attention-to-detail given to Sarah Connor is fairly remarkable. From the military-style hat down to the combat boots, NetherRealm Studios has gotten pretty much everything right about the character. The sunglasses may not be exactly the same, but this can easily be overlooked due to the accuracy of everything else.

The T-800 will be the highlight of the DLC, of course. The option to play as the T-800 is very likely fan service to Terminator fans. However, it could also be a way of promoting the upcoming Terminator: Dark Fate film.

It is a bit strange that the T-800 says, "Also targeted for termination," which implies he also intends on killing Sarah Connor. This is odd because the T-800 looks set to help Sarah Connor in Terminator: Dark Fate. Either way, blasting opponents with the Terminator's lever-action shotgun will probably be a great time for Terminator fans.

Mortal Kombat 11's Terminator T-800 DLC will be releasing on October 8th.
