Tom Holland has revealed that Spider-Man performs a move from Insomniac's Spider-Man in No Way Home.
One of the things that gamers love the most about Insomniac's Spider-Man games is their love and appreciation for everything related to the web-head. It's shown through the numerous outfits, easter eggs, and references to everything in the Spider-Verse (no, not that one), and even shown in some of the moves and poses that PlayStation's Peter Parker can perform.
Fans have noticed several loading screen poses that call back to The Amazing Spider-Man, Raimi's Spider-Man Trilogy, and even to the MCU's current Spider-Man. Well, it's looking like that respect goes both ways, as Tom Holland's Spider-Man reportedly performs a move from the games in No Way Home.
As reported by ComicBook.com, Holland was recently interviewed by Extraordinerd to promote No Way Home. Within the interview, Extraordinerd asks Holland if he's familiar with Insomniac's version of Spider-Man, to which he says that he is and reveals that there's a move from the games within the film.
Holland said, "I have played the video game, I absolutely loved it. Sony was very generous, they sent us a PS5 while we were shooting and I would play it when we were at home. I loved it, I think the game is amazing. I think it's so fun, the swinging around the city is so well done."
When asked if No Way Home takes any inspiration from Insomniac's games, Holland said, "I don't think it was really. However, there's actually one move that Spider-Man does in the game that we took and he does in the film, and it's really cool."
It's not made clear from the interview whether the move is one that Peter Parker performs in combat, or if it's one that he'll do when swinging, but as the Spider-Verse grows bigger, it's nice to see the films and the games reference one another in small ways for the fans to appreciate.
