An Insomniac programmer finally gave up and revealed a Spider-Man easter egg so subtle that no one noticed it.

Marvel's Spider-Man was one of the best games of 2018. Nay, one of the best games of all time, especially in the superhero genre. However, a lot has happened since its release and it has been a while since we were all intently focused on it; six months or so since we were all swinging through New York, taking down Dr. Octopus and Tombstone.

Those of you who have played Spider-Man will know there is so much more to the game than the main storyline. There is also so much more than the side missions and the side quests. There is quite literally an entire city to explore, and that city is jam-packed with entertaining easter eggs - whether it be Avengers tower, or the creepy boat people living their lives out on the Hudson.

The boat people are so hard to get to, that it's still unclear as to whether it was actually an easter egg at all. However, it turns out while we were busy finding things we probably shouldn't have been, there was an actual easter egg right under our very noses. A detail so hidden, that despite it having been in the game from day one, it would seem that nobody has noticed it.

An Insomniac programmer who worked on Spider-Man finally threw in the towel this past Friday and told the world about the easter egg. Elan Ruskin posted a screenshot from the game of Spidey pointing at a couple of Jewish gentlemen. Ruskin revealed that when people play the game on Saturdays, Jewish NPCs will not appear. That's due to most Jewish people not working on Saturday since it's the Sabbath.

An incredibly intricate detail, and honestly, can you blame us for not noticing this one ourselves? Not many players pay attention to NPCs, let alone which ones are out and about on certain days of the week. We also wonder whether Ruskin realizes he revealed an easter egg over Easter weekend. That can't have been a coincidence.
