A number of villains have already been confirmed to appear in the upcoming Spider-Man game, and now it looks like Tombstone may be joining their ranks.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is basically the pinnacle of the movie business right now. If an actor hasn't already locked themselves in as a character in the expansive series of movies, then the likelihood is that they really want to. If you're as big a fan of everything Marvel as we are, then like us, you likely can't wait for the release of Spider-Man on PlayStation 4 later this year.
PlayStation has been a familiar platform for the web-slinger of course. During the early-2000s he appeared on the platform in a couple of very popular games. While there have been a number of Spider-Man games across various consoles since, it's probably already safe to say that the upcoming edition will be the best and most popular since those initial games on the PlayStation and PlayStation 2.
One of the first questions we ask when it comes to Marvel films and video games is who are the villains going to be? Well, in terms of Spider-Man, we already know a few. Peter Parker will apparently defeat Wilson Fisk early on, Mister Negative will have a big role in the game, and Spidey will also have to take on the likes of Rhino, Electro, and Vulture, among others.
This week it has also been heavily hinted, by PlayStation themselves via the fictional newspaper from Spider-Man the Daily Bugle, that Tombstone may make an appearance. The faux newspaper wrote that a new drug called Grave Dust has been sweeping the streets of New York. It makes users appear like they have turned to stone, making their skin impenetrable much like Tombstone. That has led us to believe either Tombstone is incoming, or Spider-Man will be taking on groups of bad guys with similar powers to the supervillain.
We keep learning more and more about Spider-Man for the PS4 as the release date grows ever closer and we have to be honest, it's shaping up to look pretty awesome. Thankfully, we now only have seven weeks to wait until we can get our hands on it as it will be released worldwide on September 7, 2018. Who knows what else we might discover between now and then?
