These include ray-tracing, improved lighting, enhanced models, and more. These additions will be elaborated on later in the list, however, these additions alone will help enhance the game experience in ways that weren't originally available before. Hopefully satisfying any consumer old and new.

One of the biggest changes that Insomniac added to Marvel's Spider-Man is raytracing. Through this, the game is able to render Spider-Man's reflection on reflective surfaces. The most notable ones include the windows on buildings and the reflections on vehicles. These combined with the other inclusions mentioned later on will truly make the game more stunning than it already was.

6 Improved Lighting, Environments, And Weather

Thanks to the PS5 hardware, the lighting of Marvel's Spider-Man has been dramatically improved. Combined with the ray tracing and the weather, there are brand new ambient shadows to help enhance the world. Not only that, but every model in the game has been enhanced to include better skin, teeth shaders, and the hair strands being individually modeled. On top of that, the sky and weather have also been changed to make the game to better suit the Playstation 5.

One of the new features that Insomniac has been promoting for the game is the inclusion of 3D Audio. With this, players are able to listen to things that they originally weren't able to hear before like the traffic below the New York buildings. On top of that, the new PS5 game will have haptic feedback and adaptive triggers from the new Dualshock controller. Allowing players to feel even more like Spider-Man. All of this together helps immerse the player further into the world.

4 Fast-Loading Times

Another great addition to the PS5 version of Marvel's Spider-Man is the fact that the game has almost instant loading, thanks to the new systems SSD. Although some might fear that fans will miss the Subway loading screens for the fast travel, Insomniac has gone on to state that the game will still have them. Players have the chance to wind back the loading screen to see the animation still.

3 New Photo-Mode

Although Marvel's Spider-Man already had a photo feature implemented in the game, Insomniac went the extra mile by showing off the newest version that will be included in the game. Players will now have the opportunity to place lights around the environment and even change Spider-Man's costume once the photo has been set. Thus making the perfect shot get even better, especially since the Amazing Spider-Man costume is coming to the game along with two more suits.

2 Performance Mode

Miles and Peter Spider-MAN

In the standard mode, Marvel's Spider-Man for the Playstation 5 is already an impressive powerhouse. Running with strong 4K and HDR so long as the player has a compatible display, players can enjoy roaming through New York better than ever from both a graphical and lighting standpoint.

This is to allow for the game to better capture Yuri Lowenthal's performance. As a result, despite the praise of John Bubniak, he has been replaced by Ben Jordan. Although the quality is still there, it has left much to be desired due to fans being used to the previous model.
