PlayStation has announced the total software sales of its biggest titles today, with Spider-Man: Miles Morales having sold the most copies by quite a distance.

As shared by Geoff Keighley on his personal Twitter account earlier today, it's been revealed that Spider-Man: Miles Morales has sold a whopping 6.5 million copies since its launch back in November last year. The game has been regularly topping the UK sales charts over the past year, and its availability on both PS4 and PS5 will certainly have given it an advantage.

Coming in second place is MLB: The Show 21, having sold a very impressive 2 million copies considering the game released just over three months. Again, this is likely helped by the fact the game is available on PS4 and PS5. It's also worth noting that the game is also available on Xbox consoles, although it's unclear whether these stats include sales on rival systems.

As for PlayStation's exclusives on PS5, both Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart and Returnal have sold pretty well despite the increase in price. Rift Apart has recently broken the one million sales mark, having sold 1.1 million copies since its release last month, and Returnal has sold 560,000 copies since April. Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart was always going to shift millions, but Returnal has done surprisingly well considering the game's a new IP in a niche genre, has a relatively unknown developer, and increased price.

It's also worth noting that the PS5 has already sold 10 million units, meaning Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is owned by, at most, 11% of all PS5 users. Considering the game has only been available for just over a month, expect this number to grow significantly as Sony is still struggling to keep up with demand.

For the 6.5 million of you out there who do own Spider-Man: Miles Morales and are gagging for some more, you'll be pleased to know that a slip-up from Miles Morales' actor has revealed that a new Spider-Man game is likely in development. Nadji Jeter posted a now-deleted picture onto Instagram of himself donned in his mo-cap attire.
