Splatoon 3 is on its way with a dozen stages total. Those stages will include past maps from Splatoon 1 and 2, but also five brand-new stages just for Splatoon 3.

Today's Splatoon Direct confirmed three stages return from Splatoon 1, including Hammerhead Bridge, Museum D'Alfonsino, and Mahi-Mahi Resort. From Splatoon 2 comes Inkblot Art Academy, Sturgeon Shipyard, Makomart, and Wahoo World. And new for Splatoon 3 comes Scorch Gorge, Eeltail Alley, Hagglefish Market, Undertow Spillway, and Mincemeat Metalworks.

We got our first look at Mincemeat Metalworks some weeks ago. Based on a metal scrapyard found in a previously sunken cargo ship, now it serves as a battleground for turf wars between Inklings and Octolings. So too does Undertow Spillway, and underground flood bypass for Splatsvill. Expect plenty of cover from massive pillars that allow players to use the new Squid Surge ability to great effect.

Next up is Eeltail Alley, a gentrified neighborhood in Splatsville. First shown with the Splatoon 3 trailer, Eeltail Allet adds some urban combat to the game. There's also Scorch Gorge, a battle set in a desert waste that used to be a national park. And finally, there's the new Hagglefish Market. A floating fish market with tons of vendors lining the sides, Hagglefish Market offers more open sightlines than most maps coming in Splatoon 3. Be careful not to step off the pier.
