Certain outfits in Splatoon 3 are locked behind Amiibo figures from the first two games. You can scan Amiibo in Splatsville's main hub to slowly unlock cosmetic rewards - you receive a new piece of an outfit every ten Turf War victories - and claim these exclusive outfits that will help make you the freshest Inkling or Octoling on the battlefield.

Updated November 19, 2022 by Kyle Chamaillard. A trio of new Splatoon 3 Amiibo were released on November 11th and each one provides a new outfit to unlock! We've won enough Turf Wars to earn them all and have updated this list to include the new gear to see how fresh they are compared to the previous ones.

14 Armor Replica Outfit - Marie Amiibo

During the campaigns in any of the Splatoon entries, you can collect armor that will help protect you from incoming attacks. The Marie Amiibo unlocks an outfit that resembles the look you obtain after picking up armor without the extra protection.

The Armor Replica outfit comes with the Ink Saver (Main), Tenacity, and Special Charge Up abilities, and while it's not the flashiest look in Splatsville, it's probably not the worst idea to wear a helmet during dangerous Turf Wars.

13 Hero Replica Outfit - Callie Amiibo

An Inkling wearing the Hero Outfit looks at Callie as she cheers in the air

It's always a blast to dress up as one of your heroes, and using the Callie Amiibo allows you to unlock the Hero Suit worn by Agent 3 in the original Splatoon's Octo Valley campaign. It's a great throwback to the game that started it all.

While it's only a replica of Agent 3's wardrobe, it will still make you feel like a speedy superhero with its Run Speed Up, Swim Speed Up, and Quick Super Jump abilities. It's another outfit that doesn't particularly stand out, but at least you'll be safe at night with a reflective vest on.

12 Power Armor Outfits - Inkling Squid Amiibo (Splatoon + Splatoon 2)

An Inkling wearing the Power Outfit beside an orange squid and an Inkling wearing the Mk Power Outfit beside a purple squid

Using the Inkling Squid Amiibos from Splatoon and Splatoon 2 will unlock two separate Power Armor outfits that make your character look like a lost alien from the Metroid universe. These suits cover you from head to toe with a futuristic aesthetic that feels very different from almost anything else in the game.

While both Armor outfits provide you excellent defensive abilities, Ink Saver and Quick Respawn, it's a shame that it hides your character's face and features like hair. If you want to feel like an Inkling sent back in time to save the future, though, these suits are the perfect fit.

11 Fresh Fish Outfit - Octoling Octopus Amiibo

It's difficult to see the oversized shoes and giant white gloves on the Fresh Fish outfit and not think of the iconic mascot Mickey Mouse. The Octoling Octopus Amiibo provides you with the gear you need to dress up as one of Splatoon's background characters.

While it's certainly one of the silliest outfits in the game, the Fresh Fish gear comes with the Comeback, Quick Respawn, and Quick Super Jump abilities, allowing you to re-enter the battle incredibly fast and help your teammates achieve a victory that would make mascots everywhere proud.

10 Sous-Chef Outfit - Octoling Boy Amiibo (Splatoon 3)

An Inkling wearing the Sous-Chef outfit stands beside an Octoling by a vending machine

It's always a good idea to use a meal ticket before a battle to earn extra cash or experience, and what better way to honor Splatsville's hard-working chefs than to dress up as one? Victory somehow tastes even better while wearing this new outfit from one of the Splatoon 3 amiibo.

The Octoling Boy figure allows you to unlock the Sushi Sous-Chef Band, Black Belt Gi, and Kick Dampeners which come with the Ink Saver (Sub), Haunt, and Quick Super Jump as primary abilities. Serve your enemies a plate of defeat by tracking down whoever splats you and getting them back with a surprise attack.

9 School Outfits - Inkling Girl Amiibo (Splatoon + Splatoon 2)

An Inkling wearing the School Cardigan poses beside a dabbing Inkling and two Inklings hold their hands in the air

Splatoon has never pulled back the curtain enough to reveal what the education system is like in Splatsville, but the School Uniforms you can unlock by using either Inkling Girl Amiibo are some of the classiest outfits in the entire game.

Each school outfit comes with a variety of abilities, such as Swim Speed Up and Opening Gambit. The uniforms' aesthetic elevates them over the gear that covers up your entire face and body. Not only will you look cool wearing them, but you might also look a bit smarter as well, which is very important in Splatoon.

8 Steel Outfit - Octoling Boy

When your team is getting annihilated in a Turf War, it might be nice to have a knight in shining armor to save the day. The Octoling Boy Amiibo unlocks this gear that makes you look like a warrior from a different time sent to the future to defend the glory of Splatsville's past.

Wearing the Steel outfit comes with the Ink Saver (Sub), Object Shredder, and Special Charge Up abilities, allowing you to throw more bombs and use your special attack more often. While it's effective at making you look brave and heroic, let's just hope that the suit is made from stainless steel.

7 Squinja Outfit - Inkling Boy Amiibo (Splatoon 2)

Using stealth to maneuver across the map and ink enemy territory in Turf Wars is often essential for pulling out the win in a heated battle. The Inkling Boy Amiibo from Splatoon 2 unlocks the Squinja outfit and will make you feel like a master shinobi as you sneak across the stage and assassinate your opponent's chances of victory.

The Squinja gear comes with the Quick Respawn, Special Saver, and Swim Speed Up abilities which help make traveling to your destination and unleashing specials much easier. The only thing that could make the Squinja outfit even better is ink-covered shurikens, but it's still a chic and intimidating look on its own.

6 Chaos Outfit - Smallfry Amiibo

An Inkling wearing the Chaos Armor stands beside Smallfry

Smallfry is the first amiibo that isn't an Inkling or Octoling, and honestly, it would be great to see more figures for side characters like the shopkeepers or Judd. The little fellow is essential for clearing Splatoon 3's campaign, and if you befriend his amiibo figure, then you can end up with an outfit that makes you look like you belong in the next Mad Max movie.

The spiked leather jacket and helmet should strike fear into the hearts of your enemies as you soar onto the battlefield. The Special Power Up, Ink Saver (Main), and Intensify Action abilities that come with the gear allow you to shoot and run away quickly and then devastate foes with whichever special attack you prefer.

5 Samurai Outfit - Inkling Boy Amiibo (Splatoon)

An Inkling wearing the Samurai Outfit stands beside an Inkling boy

Ninjas are cool and everything, but is there anything more fear-inducing than facing off against a bona fide samurai? The Inkling Boy Amiibo from the original Splatoon offers an interesting outfit that makes your character look like a lost boss from Sekiro or Ghost of Tsushima.

The Samurai gear is full of abilities focused on wiping out enemies quickly, like Special Charge Up, Special Duration Up, and Damage Up. If you're an offensive player who loves jumping into the action, these skills will help you take out your foes with ease and allow you to lead your team to an honorable victory.

4 Schoolyard Boss Outfit - Inkling Girl Amiibo (Splatoon 3)

Once you start looking into the lore of the Splatoon series, it doesn't take long to realize that it takes place in a post-apocalyptic world. One of the newest amiibo outfits in Splatoon 3 finally gives you the look of someone who has survived a wave of catastrophic events and lived to tell the tale.

Instead of traditional headgear, you'll receive the Boss Floss to intimidate foes with, as well as the Schoolyard Scrap Jacket and a pair of Knotty Bois. Primary abilities include Intensify Action, Sub Resistance Up, and Drop Roller, which are perfect for players who lean toward mobility and offense as their primary objectives.

3 Enchanted Outfit - Octoling Girl Amiibo

Playing Splatoon 3 is a magical experience unlike anything else available right now. If you've fallen under this quirky shooting games spell, why not wear an outfit to match your mood? The Octoling Girl Amiibo unlocks the Enchanted outfit and adds a supernatural aura to your character.

Besides looking wicked cool, you'll also have access to the Ink Saver (Main), Run Speed Up, and Thermal Ink abilities to track down foes and take them out before they can recover their health. Not only does the Enchanted gear have great default powers, but it also allows you to dress up like it's Halloween every day of the year.

2 Marinated Outfit - Marina Amiibo

An Inkling wearing the Marinated Outfit stands out Deep Cut\s Studio with Marina

While Pearl and Marina have stepped out of the spotlight to let the new idols - Shiver, Frye, and Big Man - shine, they still play a major part in the lore of the franchise and can be summoned by using their respective Amiibo. Befriending Marina allows you to unlock her Marinated outfit from Splatoon 2's Octo Expansion.

This gear is perfect for anyone who plays a more defensive-style game and requires a ton of ink and specials to keep the enemy team at bay. Special Power Up, Special Saver, and Ink Recovery Up ensure you have enough ammunition to take anyone down and can obliterate entire teams with the right special attack.

1 Pearlescent Outfit - Pearl Amiibo

An Inkling wearing the Pearlescent Outfit stands by a pillar wile Pearl cheers beside her

Both Pearl and Marina's outfits from the Octo Expansion are incredibly fresh, but the Pearlescent gear barely takes the lead by offering just a bit more variety. After using the Pearl Amiibo and unlocking all of her gear, she will give you two crowns, a normal-sized one and the little one she wears herself. That, alongside the excellent hoodie and kicks, helps create one of the best outfits in the entire game.

The abilities attached to Pearl's gear are Respawn Punisher, Cold Blooded, and Special Charge Up, which perfectly represent the tiny idol's personality. While she is no longer the host of the daily news segments and Splatfests, the Pearlescent outfit carries her presence while also looking incredibly cozy and stylish at the same time.
