Splatoon 3 offers many things to take on, ranging from a fun and challenging Hero Mode to its competitive and exhilarating multiplayer modes and even side activities you can participate in if you get frustrated or bored with the others. Furthermore, you can increase your Gear and Level Ranks by participating in the game's online multiplayer.

While you will have to play lots of matches to obtain the max Gear and Level Ranks in Splatoon 3, this can be expedited by using Food and Drink Tickets that you can earn by participating in various activities in the game. However, it's never quite explained how you could obtain these Tickets or where to use them, leaving some players confused in the early goings.

Food And Drink Tickets Overview

The Crab-N-Go Shop in Splatoon 3

Food and Drink Tickets are a redeemable currency in Splatoon 3 that allows you to obtain unique buffs from the Crab-N-Go vendor found in the Lobby. The Food buffs will increase your Battle Cash and EXP payout, whereas Drinks will grant you better Gear EXP and will increase your odds of receiving specific abilities when your Gear level increases.

The twist, however, is that each item on the menu has its own ticket, meaning if you want the Crab Trap Sandwich buff, you will need to obtain the Crab Trap Sandwich Ticket. Furthermore, there are only a handful of ways to get Food and Drink Tickets, with most being a random reward for completing certain activities.

But, before we get into all that, let's quickly go over the Crab-N-Go Menu. You can find everything you can exchange Tickets for below, along with what benefits they offer. We recommend looking it over before moving on to the next section!

How To Get Food And Drink Tickets

As mentioned earlier, there are a handful of ways to get your hands on Food and Drink Tickets for the Crab-N-Go shop in the Lobby. While some methods are more direct and guaranteed, some will also be completely random rewards, making some ways more reliable than others. So, with that being said, let's dive into all the ways you can earn yourself some Food and Drink Tickets!

Hero Mode

Clearing out Fuzzy Ooze with Smallfry in the Hero Mode of Splatoon 3

The first method is one of the more straightforward ways to snag some Food and Drink Tickets in Splatoon 3. All you have to do for this method is simply advance through Hero Mode, which serves as the game's single-player campaign. Not only will you get Tickets for completing missions, but you will also earn them for tackling side objectives and areas.

Furthermore, using Smallfry to clear out Fuzzy Ooze can also net you some Food and Drink Tickets, so be sure to keep them charged up on Power Eggs for whenever the opportunity presents itself. Hero Mode is an excellent source of Tickets, so be sure to dive into it whenever you get the chance if you have yet to go through it.

Catalog

Next up is another straightforward method, but it will require a bit more effort on your end. This, of course, refers to the game's Catalog, which you receive from Harmony at Hotlantis. The current Catalog is the Drizzle Season Catalog (2022), which runs from September 9, 2022, through November 30, 2022.

The Catalog is more or less Splatoon 3's Battle Pass, but it is totally free to the player and is an additional progression path for its multiplayer. You can raise your Catalog Level by participating in Regular and Anarchy Battles and will earn all sorts of things ranging from Food and Drink Tickets to Locker Decorations to Gear and everything in between.

  • Level 4: Food and Drink Ticket (Double EXP)
  • Level 11: Food and Drink Ticket (Random)
  • Level 24: Food and Drink Ticket (Random)
  • Level 42: Food and Drink Ticket (Random)
  • Level 56: Food and Drink Ticket (Random)
  • Level 72: Food and Drink Ticket (Random)
  • Level 88: Food and Drink Ticket (Random)

Shell-Out Machine

Our next method is the definition of random, as it involves taking the Shell-Out Machine in the Lobby for a spin, which serves as the gacha machine of Splatoon 3. If you're feeling lucky, you can try your hand at the Shell-Out Machine to try and snag a Food and Drink Ticket, but we do not recommend relying on it for this reason.

It's important to note that each day, your first use of the Shell-Out Machine will cost 5,000 Cash, with each subsequent attempt costing 30,000 Cash for the remainder of the day. Additionally, you can use Conch Shells to test your luck, our recommended method, after you use your daily 5,000 Cash attempt.

Lastly, you can also earn Food and Drink Tickets by taking on the Salmon Run Next Wave co-op mode. However, Salmon Run Next Wave has its own ranking system, complete with a Job Title and Paygrade, which determines your completion rewards. To have a higher chance of obtaining Food and Drink Tickets, you will have to have a higher Job Title and Paygrade, which can take some time to achieve.
