The start of the next season of Fortnite was delayed yet again this week, but this time we're more than willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Epic revealed this week that the start of Season 3, along with its accompanying live event, will be delayed for a third time. As with many events that were supposed to happen in gaming this week and next, Epic doesn't want Fortnite to take attention away from what's important right now.

As for the actual arrival of Season 3 (now scheduled for June 17 if all goes to plan), more evidence has emerged that suggests there is indeed a biblical-level flood coming to the island. The extra details were leaked by PlayStation rather than Epic, though. The PS Store's Fortnite graphic was changed a tad early, revealing that a whole lot of water is on its way.

The island in the background of said graphic has some players convinced that SpongeBob is truly coming to Fortnite. Perhaps players will actually get the rumored crossover event after all, sinking beneath the waves and battling in Bikini Bottom. Should that be the case, race you to the Krusty Krab? Last one there has to be Squidward.
