The crisis is over, friends. We need not wait on tenterhooks any longer. Snoop Dogg has his copy of the Spyro Reignited Trilogy. The Spyro-drone that flew it across the US to him arrived safely.

So, nostalgic PS4 players, how are you enjoying the Spyro Reignited Trilogy? For a whole generation of gamers, these three platformers were the real deal, and it’s a thrill to get the chance to experience them in beautiful current-gen-o-vision.

There’s no doubt that it’s a fantastic time to be a fan of the PS1 icons of yesteryear. The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has done darn well, MediEvil is also coming next year (it took long enough for us to hear anything official on that one, for sure), and now the long-awaited remasters of Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage and Spyro: Year of the Dragon are finally upon us. Nobody –nobody—is more excited about this than aging rapper Snoop Dogg.

You might need a little context for this. As we reported last week, a bizarre exchange began when the official Spyro the Dragon Twitter account posted a hype Tweet about the trilogy’s upcoming release. None other than Snoop D-O-Double-G replied to said Tweet, remarking that he was beyond hyped to see his ‘lil neffew’ back in action.

From there, it was just a simple logical step to a Spyro-Drone taking to the air, flying from New York City to Snoop’s home in LA to deliver a copy of the game to him. Ah, video game marketing and PR shenanigans. Don’t ever change.

If you weren’t following the updates of the drone’s journey from the Spyro the Dragon Twitter page, suffice it to say that Snoop got his game in time for the release. As Destructoid reports, the drone arrived at Snoop’s place, where a ridiculous photo opportunity was in order. Which is quite good, as it’ll help us to accept that this whole strange story actually happened. It was not a dream. As you’ll see here, Snoop even gave Spyro some fly jewelry in exchange.

Hopefully, sometime in the far-flung future, the archaeologists of the year 3,500 will stumble upon this image of Spyro and Snoop and wonder just what the heck was happening with our society.
