NEO: The World Ends With You is heading to PC. Square Enix just announced that the TWEWY sequel will hit the PC platform courtesy of the Epic Games Store on September 28.

As with most Epic Games Store releases, we’re expecting this to be a timed exclusive, but Square Enix doesn’t provide us with a timeframe for how long an exclusive arrangement would last, or even if NEO:TWEWY was an Epic exclusive at all.

The sequel to The World Ends With You, a beloved game for the Nintendo DS, NEO: The World Ends With You brings players back to Shibuya to take part in the Reaper’s Game with a brand new cast of characters.

You play as Rindo Kanade, a high schooler who takes part in the Reapers' Game with help of his friend, Tosai "Fret" Furesawa, forming a team they call the Wicked Twisters. The two find out that they've recently died and now must battle other players of the Reaper's Game to return to life, with both players and the Reapers themselves standing in their way.

Characters from the first The World Ends With You will appear at times to remind you that this is indeed a sequel, with varying import on the overall plot. Although not quite as well-received as the first game, NEO: The World Ends With You is generally considered to be a worthy sequel, with a Metacritic score mostly mirroring our own Jade King’s review.

If you do pick up NEO:TWEWY on the Epic Games Store, we've got a ton of guides to help get you started. You can pre-order NEO:TWEWY now for $69.99 USD to start playing as soon as it arrives on September 28.
