It looks like EA and DICE really are forgoing Star Wars Battlefront III in favor of adding more content to Battlefront II. Fans of the game have discovered what appear to be listings for a "Celebration Edition" of the game. This version could launch as early as December 5 and will contain every cosmetic add-on already purchasable in the game as well as new skins based on the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Initial discovery seemed to spread through a post on the Star Wars Battlefront subreddit. User KW5000 claimed that they found a new cover picture for Battlefront II on the PlayStation website. The art matches other official renderings put out by DICE and displays the helmet of the new Sith Trooper that's been advertised for Rise of Skywalker.

The art also appears on the website True Achievements, which pulls its data from the Xbox Store. True Achievements provides the December 5 release date and also gives what looks to be the promotional description for the content. It's quite long, but the summary is that the Celebration Edition marks two years of Battlefront II's release by including everything in one package. Buyers will get the base game as well as "the complete collection of customization content acquirable through in-game purchase from launch."

For the record, DICE completely re-tooled the way rewards are dispersed since the PR debacle of Battlefront II's release. Players earn credits through playing that can be used to unlock everything. The only thing real money purchases do is speed up the process of getting cosmetics. DICE has also worked hard to produce more clone trooper armors, legendary appearances like young Han Solo, and emotes based on famous quotes. The Celebration Edition appears to include all of these cosmetics from the get-go, as well as automatic unlocks for future content as soon as it becomes available.

For those who already purchased Battlefront II but still haven't gotten everything, True Achievements shows a listing for a Celebration Edition Upgrade. True to the name, it is described as an add-on to the base game that unlocks all the cosmetics.

The only detail that hasn't been leaked is the price. What does it cost to unlock two years worth of cosmetics? And will the price of the upgrade upset fans who have stuck with the game through its low points? If the leaks prove true, we'll find out tomorrow.
