Hello There: General Grievous Coming To Star Wars Battlefront 2

More content for Star Wars Battlefront II was announced by EA and DICE today at E3. In the wake of a rocky start to the game, and the announcement of the Han Solo season, the developer has announced that Clone Wars content will be coming to the game.

The original Battlefront, released in 2015, included characters and maps from the original Star Wars trilogy, but ignored the prequel series, the Clone Wars, and the new series of films.

Fans of the game series, and of Battlefront II, have been looking forward to potential Clone Wars content and were satiated in their wants earlier this afternoon at EA's E3 2018 Conference.

DICE will be including Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, General Grievous, and Count Dooku as characters that players can participate as during their gaming experience playing Battlefront II.

In addition, DICE will also be adding the planet Geonosis, which was first introduced in Star Wars: Episode II- Attack of the Clones. However, EA and DICE have yet to announce a release date for the DLC.

EA and DICE have acknowledged the rocky start to Battlefront II with pay-to-win loot boxes which resulted in an eleventh hour removal of the microtransaction system before the game's release.  While microtransactions were re-instated a few months later, EA and DICE significantly restructured them to ensure they were purely cosmetic, and gave players no advantage while playing the game.

While players did not get a gameplay look at the upcoming DLC, those watching EA Play got some insight into the other projects coming out of EA in the next years, including Bioware's new IP, Anthem.

Star Wars fans will also be excited to know that a new Star Wars game will be coming at them as well. Respawn Entertainment is creating a game titled, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which was also announce at EA Play on June 9th. The game will take place between Star Wars: Episode III- Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV- A New Hope and will follow a young padawan in the wake of the events of episode III.

When it comes to Battlefront II, hopefully this DLC will bring a fresh new perspective to Battlefront II and get players excited for the game.
