With the launch of Jedi: Fallen Order, many have spent hours messing with their lightsaber in the game's enjoyable customization menu. It may be amazing to wield one, but it is just as awesome to customize this elegant weapon from a more civilized time.

For those of you who can't get enough of Fallen Order's customization and endless depth, plenty of other Star Wars games exist that allow you to customize your lightsaber. Some even let you customize what your character wears and the abilities they use. From adventure games to fully-fledged RPGs, here are the Star Wars titles that let you customize your lightsaber like Jedi: Fallen Order.

Updated on May 22, 2023, by Dennis Moiseyev: The lightsaber is a key component when it comes to any Star Wars game, and even better when you have the option to make it your own. Fallen Order may have showcased the most detailed system, but it's far from the only game with customization. The sequel Jedi: Survivor has now been included along with other classic and newer titles.

10 Star Wars: Hunters

Star Wars: Hunters is a third-person arena battle game for Nintendo Switch and mobile devices. There are all-new original characters like a Wookiee named Grozz and a Jedi-robed droid cleverly named J-3DI, who wields a lightsaber. A Sith assassin armed with a red lightsaber named Rieve is also available.

Each hunter has special abilities to use in battle and can be customized based on appearance, victory poses, and weapon wraps. Weapon wraps function like the different camos you can equip for your gun in a Call Of Duty multiplayer game, and it applies to lightsabers as well. This is definitely rudimentary compared to Fallen Order, but still something.

9 Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Considering Lego is all about creating anything that you can imagine, it's a large surprise that the Lego Star Wars video games lacked any large customization for years. And 2022's Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga shockingly decided to leave it out entirely.

Well no longer. Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens allows you to create your own custom character. You can change their head, hair, body, and even the weapons they use. The lightsabers you pick from grant different powers you can use, but there isn't anything too extensive here like hilt or guard changes, hence the lower rating. Regardless, making a custom Jedi is a blast to do.

8 Star Wars Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast

While it may not be possible within the single-player mode, you can customize the lightsaber color within Jedi Outcast's amazing multiplayer component.

Jedi Outcast is arguably one of the best Star Wars games ever created, combining the fast-paced feeling of lightsaber combat with the precision and overall flourish you see in the movies. Its campaign contains some of the best-designed levels seen within third-person action adventures, and the multiplayer has a steep learning curve that will keep you hooked for hours.

7 Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

Speaking of, Jedi Academy contains plenty of lightsaber customization, topping what Outcast offered. You can change your lightsaber in single-player this time around as well.

You can choose between different lightsaber hilts and colors and also select new lightsaber archetypes to use. Single, double-sided, and even dual-wielding lightsabers are all possible. Each version has unique moves for you to master, significantly adding to the gameplay variety and overall fun factor. This is the definite lightsaber game, and Academy is still a rather good shooter without using a lightsaber.

6 Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

It wouldn't be a proper lightsaber list if The Force Unleashed wasn't on here. Not only can you customize the lightsaber color, but you can also add various crystals to your energy blade.

Unlike Fallen Order, these crystals have gameplay advantages to them. Some make force powers easier to use, while others allow you to deflect more blaster shots. It was one of the few things missing in Fallen Order, and if the sequel can learn anything from The Force Unleashed, it's that adding smaller RPG elements to the game is a great idea.

5 Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic

If lite RPG systems are not enough for you, check out Knights of the Old Republic. This epic Star Wars RPG allows you to fully customize the color and crystals of your lightsaber.

That type of customization extends to the entire game. You choose your class, skills, feats, armor, and companions, and can even customize how your companions operate in combat. Best of all, the decisions you make have a massive impact on events throughout the game, completely changing the ending you receive as well.

4 Star Wars: The Old Republic

MMORPGs have always been great at making interesting gearing systems for you to invest in. The Old Republic is no exception, but its MMO nature might turn you away at first.

Surprisingly, this game is very welcoming for solo RPG play, with plenty of its story content and dungeons created with this in mind. Like KOTOR, the decisions you make shape your character and change various events throughout the story. It's one thing to see this in a single-player game, but having various changes to the story based on your decisions in an MMO is something else entirely.

3 Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2

While not as good as its predecessor, The Force Unleashed 2 allows for an immense amount of lightsaber customization with its addition of dual-wielding these iconic weapons.

In addition to customizing the lightsaber color and crystal, you can change the color on the second saber independently of the first. This means that you can run a red and blue lightsaber, or orange and black. Whatever you can think of, it is possible. On top of the bonuses crystals can give you, creating the perfect lightsaber combo has never been more engaging. Combos and force powers further enhance this rhythm and make you feel like a true Sith lord.

2 Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic 2

Expanding on what KOTOR did, Knights of the Old Republic 2 allowed you to further customize your lightsaber by changing the energy cell, lens, crystals, and color that most are familiar with.

The amount of options you have with lightsabers is double what the original had, meaning that you can truly tweak your energy sword to your heart's content. On top of the expanded classes and powers, KOTOR 2 is also among the best Star Wars games ever made, shaking the universe up with its fantastic writing and memorable characters. With the Restored Content Mod, this game rises above the original in almost every way.

1 Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Keeping the lightsaber customization in the follow-up to Jedi: Fallen Order would only be sound. On top of having different stances to use with your lightsaber and the new BD-1 customization, customizing your lightsaber also gets expanded upon. You can collect plenty of different components to create an astonishing unique build that feels original from any other Jedi before you or try to recreate notable ones from the series.

The process will be familiar from the first game with a bit more detail, switching out different pommels, emitters, vents, switches, grips, and metal finishes when crafting your customized blade. You also have one more color to choose from in Jedi: Survivor, which gives you the possibility of a white lightsaber.
