Prior to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's launch this month, fans are once again asking Disney to bring Cal Kestis beyond the video game series by Respawn, and to give us a live-action embodiment of the fan-favorite character in one of the upcoming TV shows.First, we have to note that this whole idea is nothing new, as fans have already discussed how cool it'll be to see Cameron Monaghan as Cal Kestis since Jedi: Fallen Order released all the way back in 2019. However, despite how appealing and convenient this concept may sound, we are still waiting for the character to get wider recognition. Sure, there has also been an ongoing debate among the fans about Cal Kestis actually being a boring protagonist, but it's safe to say he has our attention now. Dozens of related replies and posts appeared across Twitter in recent days, with people hinting at an obvious resemblance between actor Cameron Monaghan and Cal Kestis, offering to cast him as this character for future projects."Give Cal the live action he deserves," one fan writes, sharing their excitement about seeing Monaghan on stage at the event. "We need him in live action already," says another reply.

It is too early to say for certain, but considering all we know about Jedi: Survivor so far, live-action Cal Kestis may be closer than some might expect. For starters, Respawn's games are one of the biggest Star Wars projects of past years which also include notable characters from recent TV shows and movies, like Saw Gerrera from Rogue One and Andor. Not to mention that a BD model droid from the game appeared in The Book of Boba Fett. In addition, Cameron Monaghan himself just hyped the audience by saying that Jedi: Survivor's ending is "so cool" and "his favorite thing in the series so far." Naturally, this could mean anything, but there are already some speculations about Kestis' possible appearance in the upcoming Ahsoka series.

Disney is yet to reveal any future projects featuring Cal Kestis if any are planned, yet it most likely won't happen before Star Wars Jedi: Survivor launches on April 28. Perhaps, the game's ambitious ending will offer some hints to the fans about what's next for Cal and Cameron Monaghan.
