We're pretty sure that Respawn is working on a Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order sequel. Last summer, EA told investors during a conference call that it would "continue to invest in the Jedi Fallen Order franchise," which is about as much an official sequel confirmation you can get without seeing a trailer. And remember, this came after Fallen Order had already received its next-gen upgrade, so those executives weren't just talking about 4K and 60fps on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Now we're receiving word from a man in the know that Respawn Entertainment plans to reveal Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 before this year's E3. GamesBeat reporter Jeff Grubb recently appeared on the Giant Bomb premium show and said that he expects "to hear about the game in a significant way before E3."

Grubb added that Respawn has a tentative release date of later this year, but those plans might slip into 2023 depending on... things. Like the pandemic and technology and various disruptions that could happen as we endure these interesting times.

Jedi Fallen Order ATST firing at Cal Kestus

There’s little else to talk about as there aren’t even any teasers out there to reveal what the sequel could be about. Will Cal Kestis return to continue his journey as a Jedi, or will we have a totally new adventure from a different source entirely?

What we do know is that you can play Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order on PC via Origin if you happen to also have an Amazon Prime subscription. Amazon just announced its free games for January and Fallen Order just so happens to be on the list alongside Total War: Warhammer and World War Z: Aftermath. Pick ‘em up and a few more titles if you’re an Amazon Prime member.
