EA didn't need to upgrade Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order's graphics on PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. The game has been out for over a year, and they never mentioned anything about making it playable on next-gen outside of the already confirmed backward compatibility for both consoles.

But surprise, Star Wars fans! Jedi: Fallen Order just got a next-gen update to make the game even better on Sony and Microsoft's latest home console offerings.

Today's title update improves frame rate, dynamic resolution ranges, and post-processing resolution on Xbox Series X and PS5, but not the Xbox Series S. Also, this isn't a true next-gen version and more an update to optimize Jedi: Fallen Order's performance using both console's backward compatibility features.

On Xbox Series X/S and PS5, the framerate has been boosted from 45 fps to 60 fps. on the Xbox Series X, dynamic resolution will now range from 1080p to 1440p on Performance Mode, and 1512p to 2160p on Normal Mode. Post-processing resolution will also go all the way up to 4K on Normal Mode, too.

On the PS5, dynamic resolutions have been disabled, but Jedi: Fallen Order now renders at a constant 1200p, up from 810p to 1080p. Post-processing resolution is increased to 1440p, which means if you want a 4K experience on Jedi: Fallen Order, you're stuck with the new Xbox.

The update is available now for all next-gen console owners, so be sure to download it.
