Here's The Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Release Date And Trailer, In All Its Glory

Respawn just unveiled the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order trailer, while also revealing the game's release date.

Respawn just unveiled the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order trailer at their panel during this weekend’s Star Wars celebration, while also revealing the game’s release date of November 15th, 2019 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

The story revolves around the player-controlled lone wolf named Cal Kestis who hides in plain sight as a user of the force, while working within the confines of the Scrappers Guild. The game takes place during the dark times, in which the Empire is at the height of its power. Inquisitors roam the galaxy in search of any traitorous Jedi to destroy them once and for all. Eventually, Cal is found, forcing him to do more than just survive by trusting others, facing the traumas of his past, and understanding what it truly means to be a Jedi.

Droid BD-1 accompanies Cal along the journey, helping to light the way, in addition to providing plenty of other useful tools. He is more than just a tool though. Cal and BD-1 (voiced by Ben Burtt, who provided the sound design for the original Star Wars films) are equals in the game, leaning on and supporting each other as they make their way across the galaxy.

The details surrounding Cal’s lightsaber were not revealed, but it is clear that it has seen better days. However, the weathered lightsaber is apparently tied very closely with the storyline and will grow and evolve over the course of the game, much like Cal himself.

Second Sister Inquisitor looks to be the primary antagonist who is hellbent on hunting down and destroying the Jedi following Order 66. Purge Troopers act as support, informing Inquisitors whenever they happen upon a Jedi, which happens to be the same troopers found in some issues of the Marvel Star Wars comics.

“Thought Combat” is the term coined for how the combat system is set up, creating the need for players to be thoughtful in their approach for battling enemies.

No gameplay was revealed during the panel, but hopefully Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’s trailer and release date will be enough to satisfy fans for the time being.
