This lovable frog is quick to win players' hearts, as you meet him just outside of Pyloon's Saloon in Cal's first time on Koboh. About to be executed by Rayvis and his raiders, Cal steps in to save him.

After this, Turgle can be found in Pyloon's Saloon for the remainder of the game, and is available for conversations as the story progresses. His part might not be the biggest, but he deserves all the love.

7 Skoova Stev

This little fisherman can be encountered all throughout the locations of Koboh, helping Cal to catch new species of fish after their introduction. Skoova Stev will then return these fish to Pyloon's Saloon, where you can view them and speak with him further.

However, what makes Skoova Stev so great is his stories. Each time you encounter Skoova Stev, you can stop to hear each part of his life story. Some players may skip this or miss it entirely, but to listen to this gripping tale builds up the character so well, and makes you truly grow closer to him.

6 Cere Junda

Cere Junda stands in her rebuilt Jedi archives on Jedha in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Returning from Fallen Order, Cere Junda has now moved to the planet of Jedha where she works with the Hidden Path - an organization set on restoring the Jedi archives and helping those who are force-sensitive. She has now moved past her fears of the dark side and is in full connection with the force once more.

While she takes a back seat for the majority of the game, staying put in the archive on Jedha, it's towards the end of the game where she really shines. After Darth Vader turns up, she battles him - and not only this, she truly puts up a fight. Vader is infamously a strong threat to the galaxy, and to see him meet a match in Cere is incredible. Though it's still not enough, and Cere's final moments with Cal after this battle are heartbreaking.

5 Dagan Gera

Dagan Gera and Cal Kestis lock lightsabers in front of a captive droid.

As a Jedi hailing from the High Republic era and being awoken by Cal from a Bacta tank, Dagan's first moments are strong. He speaks with Cal, seemingly increasing in his anger, and turns his saber's Kyber crystal red, before battling Cal.

After escaping, Dagan remains the threat for the majority of the game, and you will track him down as you learn more of his story. He might not be the most threatening villain in the franchise, but he's still powerful, dangerous, and an intriguing character to oppose throughout.

4 Merrin

Merrin rest on Cal's shoulder as he puts his arm around her

Also returning from Fallen Order, this Nightsister of Dathomir is stronger than ever. She joins up with Cal on Jedha, and shows her ferocity in battle almost immediately, cutting down groups with ease.

While she and Cal have a growing relationship in Jedi: Survivor that brings them closer, she plays an important role in Cal's story - both in who he is, and who he will become. For all of these reasons, Merrin remains an excellent character in the Star Wars Jedi series.

3 Bode Akuna

Bode Akuna stands on the Mantis in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

New to the scene, it doesn't take long for us to love Bode Akuna - and maybe that's just because of the excellent performance from the get-go. Regardless, Bode's part in the story as Cal's close friend and loving father will have you gripped.

By the end, Bode's history comes to light, and Cal finds out that he was once Jedi - not only that, but now works with the Empire, and ultimately betrays Cal and the Hidden Path. Just trying to protect his daughter, and showing selfishness because of it, Cal must confront him. And with Cal's struggles and anger, he kills Bode without mercy.

2 BD-1

Star Wars Jedi Survivor BD-1 Sat next to Cal

The droid we all know and love, BD-1 makes a strong return in Jedi: Survivor as one of the best video game companions we could ask for. The support and care for Cal and the team shine bright, and you can always count on BD for those helpful beeps and boops as you tackle your goals.

BD saves Cal's life in several instances, showing bravery in the face of much bigger threats. As one of the best droid characters the entire series has ever seen, BD deserves as spot so highly held.

1 Cal Kestis

Star Wars Jedi Survivor Cal Kestis side profile by some fires

The protagonist of Fallen Order and Survivor, Cal Kestis has become a beloved character in the overall Star Wars series - not just his Jedi series. While he was young and learning in Fallen Order, Survivor introduces to us a more experienced and grown-up Cal. However, this doesn't mean things are easy.

Throughout the story of Jedi: Survivor, we see Cal struggling with the things that have happened in the past. And with betrayal, loss, and growing hatred, he begins to embrace the dark side that he has been feeling. By the end of the game, he shoots Bode down, even after Bode is defenseless. In the final moments of the game, we see Cal reflecting on this darkness, but it is not yet resolved. Star Wars has shown us Jedi who have felt the dark side, and Jedi that have fallen to the dark side, but Cal's struggle feels so involved and shows its complexity on an emotional level.
