New Abilities

Cere vs Vader face off in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

While fighting as Master Junda is somewhat similar to fighting as Kestis, the two Jedis employ different tactics. She’s physically stronger than Kestis, as her lightsaber strikes deal more damage.

Junda only has one lightsaber stance, the regular single blade. Her attack combos will favor the quality of hits over quantity.

Instead of slowing time down as a special ability, Junda creates a protective barrier around herself and releases the build-up of Force energy to knock away nearby enemies.

This ability works best against multiple Stormtroopers but won’t be effective against Darth Vader.

Darth Vader: First Phase Attacks

Cere attacking Vader in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Darth Vader is extremely powerful, and one normal attack by him will inflict about 20 percent of Junda’s health, while his unguardable attacks hurt for nearly double that.

Block Vader’s regular attacks and carefully strike him to dwindle his block meter. Once you break his block, you can freely attack Vader for a few strikes.

Vader will use the Force to push Junda away from him but the attack won’t inflict any damage. Throughout the fight, Vader will also use the Force to pull Junda toward him and throw a massive fireball of debris.

Vader’s fireball Force attack is unguardable, so you’ll need to dodge to avoid being injured.

Although Vader is famous for using the Force to choke his victims, his hands work just as well. The Sith Lord will attempt to grab you as an unguardable attack that will inflict a massive amount of damage.

If Junda isn’t at full health, there’s a high possibility you will die.

Darth Vader: Second Phase Attacks

After inflicting about ten percent of Vader’s health, a Quick Time Event will occur that ends with Vader pushing Junda back.

Vader is also capable of throwing his lightsaber at Junda, but you can block it back to him, and it will damage his block meter.

The Sith Lord will begin adding more attacks to his combos, forcing you to alternate between dodging and blocking.

Junda’s block meter isn’t strong enough to withstand all of Vader’s attacks.

Darth Vader: Third Phase

When Vader’s health drops to about half, another cutscene will trigger that shows Junda using her own powerful Force attack. But that doesn’t faze Vader, and his attacks continue to grow faster.

Because Junda only has four health stims, you need to be extremely cautious moving forward. Vader can inflict a significant amount of pain in quick succession if you lower your guard or fail to dodge properly.

Other than adding more basic attacks to his repertoire, Vader will also begin using more unguardable attacks.

One attack will be him swinging his lightsaber aggressively in a wide circle, another will be in an overhead strike, and another will be an upward slash.

Vader pushes Cere back with Force slam in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

If Vader feels overwhelmed by Junda’s attacks, he will Force slam the ground near him to push you away. He might follow this attack up by throwing a fireball at you, so quickly get up and be prepared to dodge right away.

Junda can also Force slam Vader to momentarily disable him, but it won’t be enough time to land a direct hit on him. You can use this technique to guarantee a hit on his block meter.

Another Quick Time Event will occur when Vader’s health bar is nearly depleted. Continue dodging and striking when you can until a final cutscene is triggered that shows Master Junda ultimately falling to the Sith Lord.
