EA and Respawn Entertainment has announced that they will be delaying the release of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor to April 28 in order to "achieve the level of polish our fans deserve." Jedi: Survivor was originally intended to launch on March 17, but has now been pushed back by six weeks. In a statement posted to the EA Star Wars Twitter account, Respawn explains that development on Jedi: Survivor is in the final stages and that the team is currently focusing on bug fixes, stability, and polish. In order to do this, Respawn requires another six weeks to get everything good and ready, which means we'll have to wait a little longer before we can step into the shoes of Cal Kestis once again.Related: Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Needs To Double Down On the Dark Souls"In order for the team to hit the Repsawn quality bar, provide the team the time they need, and achieve the level of polish our fans deserve, we have added six crucial weeks to our release schedule - Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will now launch globally on April 28. Thanks to EA and Respawn for giving us the time to deliver the best experience for our players, and to all of you for your understanding."

At the same time, Respawn also announced that it will be sunsetting Apex Legends Mobile later this year. The studio claimed that "factors beyond our control" have forced it to abandon the title, as Apex Legends Mobile will no longer be playable after May 1. EA also revealed that it will be shutting down the developers behind the title, Industrial Toys, and is also cancelling several Battlefield mobile games that were in development. The reason for these cancellations is fairly vague, but we can assume that EA might not be too pleased with the costs of running the services and their performance next to other popular titles like Fortnite.
