Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will feature several new droids for Cal to face, including Droidekas, B1 Battle Droids, B2 Droids, and even Episode 3's Magna Guard.

Over the past week, IGN has been debuting new footage and information for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, including giving us a first look at gameplay on a new planet, Koboh. In addition to that gameplay footage, it's now revealed some of the new enemies that Cal will have to go up against on his second journey, including some fan-favourite droids.

IGN walked through the new enemies with Respawn Entertainment's design director Jason de Heras and production director Kasumi Shisido, and revealed 11 enemies in total. First up are the B1 and B2 Battle Droids, who Star Wars fans will likely remember from the prequel trilogy. B1 Battle Droids are meant to act as the fodder enemies of Koboh and apparently have some "hilarious" banter. The B2 Droids are much more formidable and come armed with missiles and a heavy melee punch.

Another new enemy type is the BX Droid, better known as Commando Droids, who are meant to be mid-tier enemies for Cal to fight, with IGN pointing out that they've previously gone up against Jedi. More exciting is the confirmation that the prequel trilogy's Droidekas will feature in the game, although seemingly not on Koboh. According to Heras, they'll come with their bubble shield and usual bag of rolling tricks.

One of the final enemies revealed in the feature is the Magna Guard, who is best known for their appearance in Revenge of the Sith. If you've been keeping a close eye on Jedi: Survivor news, you might remember that it was actually confirmed some time ago thanks to a licensed toy line from Kenner.

The only non-droid enemy that was showcased by IGN was a Shield Trooper, who was apparently born from the need to have a Scout Trooper that didn't die in one hit. From IGN's description, it still sounds like they'll go down pretty easily though, with a simple Force pull turning them into another easy target.
