Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's director has confirmed that the game will, mercifully, have fast travel, which was one of the main criticisms levied against the first game.

When Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order released, it was generally praised for its exploration, with specific areas on most of the planets that could only be accessed later in the game once Cal had learned some new moves, encouraging backtracking and getting off the beaten path. There was one thing missing, however - fast travel.

If Cal went off exploring for new poncho colours, he'd have to make his way back to the Mantis every single time, with no option to skip back to the last meditation point or to the ship. This was a big pain considering how hard some of these areas were to reach and how long they could stretch on for but, thankfully, it looks like that won't be a problem in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

As reported by GamesRadar+, the latest issue of Play Magazine features an interview with Stig Asmussen, the director of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. During the interview, Asmussen seems to directly address the complaints made against the first game by revealing that the sequel will feature mounts and fast travel points for the players to "quickly get from point A to B".

Asmussen said, "We will feature both fast travel and rideable creatures to help players quickly get from point A to B, and back to A. The fast travel is point to point, and the rideable creatures offer a way to quickly navigate between points and explore what is in between."

Although fast travel points are undoubtedly the highlight of what Asmussen said, the rideable creatures are also an exciting prospect and something we got to see a little bit of during the Jedi: Survivor reveal trailer. At one point we see Cal riding a dinosaur-esque creature, while in another we see him using a winged creature like a glider of some kind.
