Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is still coming soon, although slightly later than originally expected. Fans will have to wait another six weeks from its original release date of March 17 as Respawn puts the finishing touches on the hotly-anticipated sequel. In the meantime, we at least have nine minutes of new gameplay footage to show courtesy of IGN.

The new footage all takes place on the planet Koboh where Cal Kestis and BD-1 are searching for something. We're reminded of Cal's wall-running capabilities before we're treated to one of his new combat stances. Dual-wielding lightsabers return from the first game with updated combos that perform vicious cross-slashes and takedowns, and the double-bladed lightsaber (or lightsaber staff) also returns as a powerful AOE ability.

We know that Cal will have five different lightsaber stances, including the two above, a single regular lightsaber, a crossguard-style heavy lightsaber similar to Kylo Ren's, and one that features a blaster in one hand and a lightsaber in the other. We don't get to see the blaster in the nine minutes of gameplay, but even without it, Cal can make short works of beasts and droids by simply throwing two lightsabers at once.

The footage does show us two interesting new force abilities. The first is a wide-area slow that can affect all enemies around Cal--a significant improvement over his slow from the first game. We see Cal use this ability to take out a pack of four-legged beasts before using it again against a larger pack of droids. And he also has a new parry ability that may have replaced the perfect dodge ability from the first game, perhaps to reinforce Cal's progression as a more powerful force-wielder.

Although we didn't see it in action, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor director Stig Asmussen promised in a recent interview that the game will feature a long-requested mechanic from fans: fast travel.

"We will feature both fast travel and rideable creatures to help players quickly get from point A to B, and back to A," Asmussen said. "The fast travel is point to point, and the rideable creatures offer a way to quickly navigate between points and explore what is in between."

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor arrives on April 28.
