Star Wars Jedi: Survivor players are in agreement that one Stormtrooper is the most annoying - the infamous flamethrower-wielding Flametroopers, who somehow seem to have got more annoying since Jedi: Fallen Order.

Thanks to vicious enemies like the Rancor, Spawn of Oggdo Bogdo, and Purgetroopers, Cal Kestis has his work cut out for him in Jedi: Survivor. Although there are quite a few challenging encounters in the game, there are some enemy types that don't give him much trouble, like the B1 Battle Droids and nearly every variant of Stormtrooper, as they both usually go down in just one or two hits.

Notice how I said "nearly every variant", though. While most Stormtroopers are a bit of a joke and act as canon fodder to keep Cal's lightsaber skills sharp, there's one type of Stormtrooper who is giving players a bit more trouble - the Flametroopers. This Stormtrooper variant returns from Jedi: Fallen Order, which you'd think would make it an easy enemy, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Over on the Jedi: Fallen Order and Survivor subreddit, Redditor JohnnyKushman shared an image of the Flametrooper with the caption, "High key **** this guy", noting that they are the "most difficult enemy in both Fallen Order and Survivor", especially if you're playing in New Game Plus with purity on.

Quite a lot of Jedi: Survivor players seem to agree that the Flametrooper is a massive pain, as the post quickly reached more than 1.1k upvotes as of the time of writing, making it one of the most popular posts on the subreddit over the past few days. The comments underneath the post all seem to be in agreement about the Flametrooper too, pointing out that his quick reload time and resistance to Force Pull are the main reasons why he's more challenging than other Stormtroopers.

If you are having trouble with the Flametrooper, Jedi players have thankfully shared a few tips on how best to deal with him. It seems that the best way to get rid of him is to use Force Slam on him, which quickly takes him out and causes an explosion to deal damage to surrounding enemies. Throwing your Lightsaber or using the Blaster stance is another good way of dealing with him too, as his flamethrower relies on Cal being up close and personal.

There is a bit of a silver lining to the Flametrooper, though. Not only is he one of the most reliable units in Holotactics, but he's also a great enemy type to use Force Confusion on, as he can very easily mow down any surrounding enemies with his flamethrower. He might be a pain to fight against if you're used to taking everyone out with a lightsaber, but there are at least some clever ways to dispatch him.
