Whether you are a veteran player, casual fan, or total newbie just getting into the scene – StarCraft II has never been in better shape. Ten years down the line and the game's community remains strong; tournaments are hot, fans are engaged, and streamers are more active than ever. Up this week is more action from both the GSL and TSL5 tournaments.

In TeamLiquid's StarLeague 5, players from all across the world are battling it out in a double-elimination format. Surprisingly, Serral – the player many believe to be the best of all time – has already been knocked out. The field is quickly narrowing as only 12 remain, with even more set to pack their bags following the results of this weekend.

Starcraft 2 GSL 2020 Season 1

Regarding Season 1 of Global Starcraft II League held in South Korea, things have gotten spicy; professionals are competing for around $140,000 in earnings and games have been insanely close. The GSL is considered to be the most competitive of all StarCraft II tournaments, trumped only by BlizzCon's annual WCS Global Finals. Multiple upsets have already shaken things up and only 4 remain. Be sure to tune into the semifinals this week to see which two players will emerge victorious. Oh, and if you didn't see the game between Maru and PartingG last week, you should check it out immediately.

Keep an eye out next week as StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void is ushering in its 2020 Season 2 on June 3 next week. New maps are coming!
