Stardew Valley is great on its own, but it is a delightful experience with friends. Even better is that you can still play a modded game in multiplayer. In order to help everyone share the same modded experience, however, everyone has to install the same mods. For those of you who have put hundreds of hours into the game, maybe even thousands, mods are life savers.

They can give you a refreshing experience, and, for those of you who are newer to the game, they increase the quality of life. Stardew Valley Multiplayer Mods can eliminate minor annoyances and drastically improve early-game mechanics.

Updated on September 26, 2023, by Tallis Spalding: Even as more farming and life simulators come out on the market, few can rival Stardew Valley and its timeless gameplay. Even fewer can claim to present a great multiplayer mod experience, if it's even an option.

Most Stardew Valley mods aren't designed with multiplayer in mind, but that doesn't mean that they don't function just fine within multiplayer. In fact, the other person doesn't even have to have some of the mods, like CJB Cheats for example, for you to use it.

Stardew Valley multiplayer mods are a great way to enhance everyone's experience, or just your own. Not every mod is for every person, but it's worth testing them out given how easy modding the game actually is at the end of the day.

11 Fishing Trawler

If you wanted fishing to be more immersive or to steal Willy's job, well look no further than the Fishing Trawler mod. This mod, however, is only enhanced with multiplayer. Although not an explicitly multiplayer mod for Stardew Valley, the fishing trawler can be enjoyed by everyone on your farm (so long as they're in reasonable number).

Of course, with every boating venture there comes a certain amount of risk, and if you don't keep up your ship or keep it from sinking you and your friends could end up stranded - so be careful!

10 CJB Cheats

CJB Cheats is, essentially, a mod that lets you cheat. You can pause time, skip dates, replay events, create or destroy friendships, and more. This makes it the perfect Stardew Valley multiplayer mod because it increases the quality of life for players.

Everyone can manage the game to their needs, adjust individual friendship levels with NPCs, and ensure that they can see the events as many times as needed. Plus, if everybody can move faster it just makes setting up your multiplayer modded farm just a little bit easier and helps everyone get to bed on time.

9 Multiplayer Journey Of The Prairie King

Journey of the Prairie King is one of the hardest parts of Stardew Valley. In fact, it is the most difficult part of Stardew. Fear not, though; with this mod installed, you can take on this fearsome foe with your friends.

Getting the Fector's Challenge achievement might prove to be a bit more difficult with so many bodies moving around the screen, though. Regardless, with this mod's help, you'll all have your own Journey of the Prairie King machines that you can stash throughout your own farms faster than ever.

8 Speech Bubbles

Sure, there's always the text box, but there's something so fun about the speech bubbles. They're a great way to have a conversation with your friends if you're not on a voice chat or next to each other. It's kind of like a virtual face-to-face with each other.

The speech bubbles also make it so you can't miss something your friend might say in the chat if your attention is focused elsewhere on the screen. If you suffer from virtual tunnel vision, this mod is perfect for you.

7 Extended Minecart

Hopping around the world to get to where other players are, or spread out to cover the most ground, is difficult. In the early game, you're running on foot and wasting precious time, and in the late game, you're doing the same thing but slightly faster, thanks to minecarts.

However, with the Extended Minecart mod, you not only gain access to more areas, but many are immediately unlocked. With additional immersion from occasionally powering the minecarts with five coal, this mod is a must-have for single-player and multiplayer.

6 Health And Stamina Regeneration

Stardew Valley Low on energy but slowly regenerating in the mines

Whether you've played Stardew Valley once or time and time again, you know that the most frustrating thing is running out of stamina or food. It's the main culprit behind slow progress at the beginning of the game. In multiplayer, that problem is only exacerbated by the fact that you can run out at different times.

It forces some people to cut their days short and not get nearly as much progress as they'd like. Fortunately, the Health and Stamina Regeneration mod is here to save the day. Take a short break, and you'll be back on your feet and raring to go.

5 Multiplayer Warp

Trying to find other players or even NPCs, can be a bit of a pain. Fortunately, with the Multiplayer Warp, you don't have to run around looking for others, especially if you're on the other side of the map. Instead, you can simply warp your friends.

This mod lets you warp to various map locations like Ginger Island, Calico Desert, and if you have Ridgeside Village installed, you can warp there too. The only downside is that you're still going to have to run around to find NPCs.

4 Fixed Sell Prices

In the vanilla edition of multiplayer, the only thing taken into account for sell prices is the host's profession, regardless of what others see. This effectively means that whatever profession others take is fundamentally pointless. However, with this mod installed, finally, professions other than the host's will mean something.

All professions will be taken into account for the end-of-the-day sell price on each item. With carefully coordinated professions between all involved players, you can all be making a lot of money quickly. Everything you sell can start getting the max possible price... probably.

3 Pause Time

Playing with your friends is great until you have to step away from your computer. Before you know it, too much time has passed, and everyone has been forced to pass out because they couldn't go to bed.

In multiplayer, you can't pause time. It just keeps chugging along, and you are left to suffer the consequences. So, instead of suffering from it, you should install the Time Pause mod. You can vote on pausing time when taking a break and, during certain activities, briefly pause time.

2 Rush Orders

Nobody wants to wait on Clint for their tools to be upgraded. We shouldn't have to wait on Clint, especially in multiplayer. Having to wait for someone else's tool to finish so you can go and upgrade yours is a painfully long experience.

Thankfully, the Rush Orders mod means you can get your tool the very next day and continue on your journey. Hit Clint up just before the end of his shift, and time will fly by.

1 Always On Server

Vanilla multiplayer is limiting because you have to be on at the same time as the host to play. This confines you to one person's schedule and makes it a frustrating experience to play with other people - much less improve a multiplayer farm. Only the host needs to run the mod, though the game will be running all the time for them.

You cannot minimize the game (though you can leave to do other things on your computer) otherwise, the server will pause. If you plan to host, have a sturdy computer and plan to wrack up a lot of hours in Stardew Valley.
