Stardew Valley is a game with a lot of end-game content. This can be seen when you finally reach Calico Desert and make your way into the Skull Cavern. While the desert does seem pretty barren; there is a huge secret hidden inside of Sandy’s store.

When you enter you will notice that there is a bouncer blocking the door, this door leads to the games casino. To get the bouncer to move though, you will first need to complete a quest, which can be a bit daunting at first. The guide below will teach you how to unlock the casino, as well as how to use it.

How to Unlock The Casino

To unlock the casino you will need to complete the “Mysterious Mr. Qi” questline. This will require you to find several secret notes and refill their requirements. To begin, get a battery and go into the bus tunnel, you will find a box on the side of the tunnel — place the battery inside.

Next, you need to take ten beets and put them in Mayor Lewis's Fridge. Afterward, head to the desert and find the dragon in the sand. Place a Solar Essence in its mouth and then head back home to check your woodpile to complete the quest. This will give you the club card and you will now be able to visit the casino.

Gambling Options and Prizes

As with most casinos, the way to win prizes is to gamble away special tokens. You will notice a machine near Mr. Qi that you can use to exchange your gold for coins.

  • Tip: Every 10 gold equals on Qi coin.

Using your stash of Qi coins you can now gamble, there are two games to choose from:

  • Slots
  • Calico Jack

Both games are a bit random, but you do have a bit more control in Calico Jack, which plays like Blackjack. Once you win a ton of coins, you can make your way over to the counter to cash them in. Here are the prizes that you can purchase for Qi coins:

It is possible to simply purchase the coins needed for each prize, but this isn’t recommended as it can cost you tons of gold.

In addition to the store, there will be an NPC in the corner who will sell you a Statue of Endless Fortune for 1,000,000 gold. The statue can be placed on your farm and will give you one gift a day, the statue's possible gifts include idiosyncratic bars and diamonds.
