Stardew Valley is full of characters that players love to learn and speculate about. Among them is a rather curious fellow named M. Rasmodius, better known as the Wizard. He doesn't live near town but instead keeps to himself in a tower in the forest. The player doesn't even get to introduce themselves first, as he only becomes available after you first enter the community center.

Even after first meeting him, he still comes off as pretty mysterious. For those who can't get enough of the mysterious character, though, there are several interesting facts in the list below, including some juicy details about a possible love triangle.

7 He Has a Daughter in Town

Wizard

The Wizard doesn't seem to have much to do with Pelican Town outside of visiting for a few of the festivals. He never leaves his tower, and no one in town really speaks about him. While one might suspect that this is due to the fact that he practices magic, getting to know him will reveal another narrative that may be the reason for his reclusive nature.

The Wizard will tell you in confidence that he feels that he has a daughter in town. He doesn't allude to whom it may be or how old they are. He also doesn't seem like he is quite ready to hunt down the mysterious woman.

6 He Was Unfaithful To His Wife

It seems that the daughter isn't related to his wife, with whom he admits he is on bad terms with. The Wizard's wife is the witch that lives in the swamp. The player will learn about her after they have finished the community center. It's revealed that the witch was once a normal woman, but an incident that happened between her and Rasmodius turned her green with envy.

This likely points to the Wizard being unfaithful and is likely where the mysterious daughter came from. The Wizard does comment that he thinks the way his wife is handling the situation is rather childish.

5 Abigail May Be His Daughter

The community was stunned by the love triangle and began digging for answers on who the Wizard's daughter could be. As it turns out, many signs point to Abigail for several reasons. The first being the fact that her hair has turned purple and won't change back. The second being that Pierre himself seems to doubt the fact that Abigail belongs to him.

Caroline also admits that she used to take walks to the Wizards Tower without her husband knowing. Abigail also seems to naturally be drawn to the Wizards Tower and can be found hanging around the area from time to time.

4 He's Friends With Linus

As it turns out, the Wizard is one of the few people in the game who is friends with Linus. This makes sense as both characters tend to be estranged from the rest of the town; this can be seen with how they stand away from everyone else while festivals are going on.

Linus seems to have lived an interesting life before moving into his tent, and it wouldn't be surprising to see that he has opened up to the Wizard about his previous adventures. The Wizard admits that he is looking for an apprentice, so he may be testing the water with Linus.

3 He Has Hidden Festival Dialogue

The Wizard doesn't show up at every festival, but there is text that was written for the ones he is currently missing out on. This includes dialogue for both the Spirit's Eve and Feast of the Winter Star. Both festival's hidden text from the Wizard seems to point to there being something much more mysterious going on in Stardew Valley than the game initially let on.

The Winter Star dialogue is particularly interesting as the Wizard seems to admit that the star is a real object and the reason he initially came to live near Pelican Town.

2 He Knows Multiple Languages

The Wizard is shown to have the power to allow the player to read and speak the language of the Juminos. As it turns out, though, the Wizard seems to be well-versed in several different dialects that aren't shown in the game. While this isn't shown, it probably spans much further than just a few neighboring countries.

The Wizard's age also isn't given in the game, but given his vast knowledge, it's likely that he is the oldest human around.

1 He Seems to Know About Secret Civilizations

The Wizard has made a lot of friends outside of the human realm. It's canon that he knows the merfolk and refers to the Moonlit Jelly as Lunaloos. There is also evidence that he knows more about the Juminos society and has information on the various monsters that roam the mines.

It's not revealed how he came to know these different species or if he spent a great deal of time with any of them.
