Like other events in Stardew Valley, the villagers will be gathered, and you can socialize with them. Additionally, there is a bunny standee in the middle of the festival. You can stand behind it and take a picture of yourself. In this guide, we are going to go over everything you need to know about the Egg Festival. First, let's take a look at when and where it will occur.

When Does The Egg Festival Take Place?

The Egg Festival takes place every year on Spring 13. The day before the festival, Mayor Lewis will send you a letter, telling you about it.

The festival will start at 9 am and last until 2 pm. You can show up to the event within this time frame. Once it's past 2 pm, you will no longer be able to attend.

When you leave the Egg Festival, you will be transported to your farm at 10 pm.

Egg Festival Location

You can find the Egg Festival right in the center of Pelican Town. This area will be closed off prior to 9 am. If you were planning on visiting a shop within this area, you will have to wait until the following day.

There are several different paths to enter Pelican Town, but you will always appear from the path coming from the bus stop. This means that if you enter from the Mountain area, you will still enter from the bus stop.

Special Items For Purchase

Strawberry seeds are only available during the Egg Festival. This is a good time to stock up on seeds since you can only buy them once a year.

Strawberry seeds will take eight days to grow, and yield strawberries every four days. To get the most out of the seeds, plant them as soon as possible. If you have the greenhouse unlocked, then you can plant the seeds here as well, without worrying about the change of seasons.

Egg Hunt

The Egg Hunt is the highlight of the festival. To begin the Egg Hunt, talk to Mayor Lewis. This will trigger the beginning of the hunt, and other villagers will gather around. After the Egg Hunt ends, the festival will be over, so you should buy any items you need before starting the hunt.

Once the Egg Hunt starts, you will have 50 seconds to find as many eggs as you can. To win the event, you will need to find at least nine eggs. If you don't, then Abigail will win. The number of eggs needed to win will decrease depending on the number of players. Two players will need six eggs each, three players will need five eggs each, and four players will need four eggs each.

As a reward for winning the Egg Hunt, you will receive a Straw Hat. If you already have this item from a previous Egg Hunt, Mayor Lewis will reward you will 1,000g.

In total, there are 27 eggs that will be scattered around Pelican Town. Above, you can see all of the egg locations. It's possible to gather more than nine, but you will not get any additional rewards. The Egg Festival border will extend to the river, so there will be no hidden eggs in this area. Overall, if you move fast, it should be pretty easy to get nine eggs. Try to stick to eggs close to where you are, instead of walking around the entire map.

Once the Egg Hunt ends, you will be transported to your farm. You can do some chores around the farm, or go to bed and start the next day.
