In this guide, we are going to go over everything you need to know about the Adventurer's Guild. First, let's take a look at how to unlock it.

Unlocking The Guild

Prior to unlocking the Adventurer's Guild, you will need to complete the quest Initiation.

This is a fairly simple quest that will be triggered once you reach the fifth floor of the Mines. The morning after you reach the floor, you will be sent mail with the quest requirements.

To complete the initiation, you will need to slay ten slimes in the Mines. This can be done by progressing through the floors of the Mines. If you find slimes in any other location (Secret Woods or Wilderness Farm layout), they will not count for this quest.

After you defeat ten slimes, Marlon will appear and invite you to the Adventurer's Guild. With that, you will have full access to the guild!

Adventurer's Guild Location

The Adventurer's Guild is located directly right of the Mines entrance. As you exit the Mines, head to the right and you will soon come across the building.

The guild is open daily, from 2 pm to 10 pm. Inside, you will find Marlon behind the counter, and Gil sitting in a rocking chair. Both of these people will not accept gifts or have friendship points; you do not have to worry about any relationship-based rewards from them.

Items For Sale

Marlon will be standing behind the counter, running the Adventurer's Guild shop. Here, you can buy a variety of weapons, shoes, and rings. Let's take a look at each item, as well as how to unlock them in the shop. Not every item will be available at first; many require a few additional steps.

Item Recovery Service

player interacting with marlon at the adventurer's guild

At the front counter, you will also have the opportunity to use the item recovery service. This service gives you a chance to recover an item you lost due to low health. This can be used in the Mines, Quarry Mine, Skull Cavern, and Volcano Dungeon.

You will only be able to recover one item, and the price of recovery depends on the price of the item. If the item doesn't have a sale price, then the recovery is free.

There will be no time limit for you to claim these items. For example, if you collapse and lose an expensive sword, then you will have until the next time you collapse to recover it. The recovered item will be sent to your house the next morning, for you to collect. Every other item will be permanently lost, so try not to go caving with an inventory full of important items.

If you have completed the eradication goal to kill 150 Magma Sprites, then you will be rewarded with Marlon's number, allowing you to use the recovery service from the telephone at your house.

Monster Eradication Goals

Lastly, the Adventurer's Guild will provide you with Monster Eradication Goals. These are a series of monster-slaying goals that each have their own reward.

After completing a goal, talk to Gil to receive your reward. Each goal will provide you with one free reward, and if you want additional items, then you can buy them from Marlon again.

Let's go over each goal and what monsters will count towards each one. Every goal (except killing Magma Sprites) will reward you with an item that is available in the shop. As mentioned above, killing Magma Sprites will unlock Marlon's phone number.
