There are a few different ways to get a void chicken. Let's take a look at the two main ways to get your first void egg.

Random Event With The Witch

Every night, there is a chance that a random event will trigger. These events range from meteorites crashing to the witch flying over your farm.

There is a 1% chance that the witch will fly over, leaving one void egg in your coop. This void egg can then be incubated in the incubator if you have upgraded your coop to either the big or deluxe coop.

Purchasing From Krobus

Instead of waiting for the witch to visit your farm, you can also just purchase a void egg from Krobus. To do this, you will need to have access to the sewers. After donating 60 items to the museum, you will receive a key to enter the sewers. There is one entrance in the middle of town, and one in the Cindersap forest near the bottom of the map.

Once the sewers are unlocked, you can venture into the sewers, where Krobus resides. Every day, Krobus will sell void eggs for 5,000g. This isn't the best deal, but it's a quick way to get a void egg. Krobus will sell void eggs all day long, every day of the week.

Raising Your Void Chicken

Now that you have your first void egg, pop it in the incubator! The egg will take approximately six days to hatch.

After this time, you will have a baby void chick. Before you can start collecting more void eggs, your chick will need to age up. This will take three full days. Once the chicken is fully grown, you will be able to collect void eggs every day.

Selling void eggs is a great way to make money as well. Below, you can see how much a void egg will sell for, depending on the quality and your chosen profession.

Like other eggs, you can turn the void egg into mayonnaise. Void mayonnaise price will not be affected by the quality, however, the price will be affected by your profession.

The base price for void mayonnaise is 275g. This increases to 330g with the Rancher profession, and to 385g with the Artisan profession.

Although void chickens provide useful resources to earn money, not that many villagers appreciate void eggs. Krobus and Sebastian love receiving them as a gift, but every other villager either hates or dislikes them.

Lastly, void eggs and void mayonnaise are not used in any bundle. You will need one void mayonnaise for a quest though. After finishing the Community Center, you will unlock The Goblin Problem quest, which requires you to give void mayonnaise to a goblin in front of the witch's hut.

Overall, void chickens are a great addition to your farm. After you get a few void eggs, check out our guide on how to find a dinosaur egg.
