As the name suggests, you can put fish in a fish tank. Fish are separated into two categories; swimming fish and bottom creatures.

Swimming fish include every normal fish type, as well as shrimp. These will swim around in the water of your tank.

Bottom creatures will remain on the bottom of the tank. This type is divided once again between moving and stationary bottom creatures. Below, you can check out which creatures fit into each category.

Stationary Creatures

Moving Creatures

  • Clam
  • Cockle
  • Mussel
  • Periwinkle

To put a fish in the tank, hold it in your hotbar and interact with the tank. This is similar to placing normal objects.

Lastly, you can decorate your fish tank with coral, seaweed, and stone.

The small and modern tanks can only hold one of these decorations, while every other tank can hold one of each.

If you happen to have a Sea Urchin within the tank, you can also place a hat on it. This is the only creature that can wear a hat inside the tank.
