Harvest Town, a farming simulator previously released on Android, has finally landed on the App Store. iOS owners can now join in on the shockingly-similar-to-Stardew-Valley action, building up your farm from scratch and getting to know your fellow townsfolk.

I don't want to call Harvest Town a 'knock-off' of Stardew Valley, but – it kind of is. From the pixelated graphics and farming mechanics to dungeon diving and fishing, there are a lot of similarities between the two games. However, Harvest Town does offer its own story, along with new features such as sailing, unique marketplaces, and even horseracing.

A brief look at its page on both Google Play and the App Store show a game with lots of charming potential, but one that suffers from pretty significant translation issues. If you can look past awkward phrases such as "ultra-high freedom" and "interactive function," there seems to be a wealth of content for you to explore. It's already pulled in over a million installs on Google Play, and we're curious to see how it fares over on Apple's platform.

Stardew Valley is gearing up for another big expansion, but until it drops Harvest Town might be a great way to pass the time. The farming sim is now available for free on both iOS and Android.
