Previously, after finishing the Community Center bundles in Stardew Valley, the local JojaMart would sit empty and abandoned. That was, until the game was updated to version 1.4, and a new post-game event was added: the Missing Bundle. Upon completion of this bundle, the Junimos will turn the abandoned JojaMart into a Movie Theatre.

While the game pushes you to fix up the Community Center, there is another option. Here are the pros and cons of each.

You can permanently replace this abandoned and derelict building with something much more entertaining and valuable. With the Movie Theatre, you can see films, level up a friendship with someone you invite to join you, and play the crane game for rare items. However, completing this final bundle requires some rare items. Read on to learn how to unlock and complete the Missing Bundle Stardew Valley tasks you with.

Updated on April 8, 2024 by Eva Csaki: Stardew Valley's 1.6 update brings with it a laundry list of new content to explore. With the introduction of Mystery Boxes, the Prize Machine, and Books Of Power, Stardew Valley has introduced even more ways to collect and save items for your Community Center Bundles and quests. To ensure you're up to date on all the ways you can collect items for your bundles, we've gone over our Missing Bundle guide to add even more ways to find the right quest items. That coveted movie ticket is now closer than ever.

How To Unlock The Stardew Valley Missing Bundle

Stardew Valley: An image of the Missing Bundle requirements screen.

In order to unlock the Missing Bundle, you first need to have chosen to restore the Community Center. After choosing to renovate the Community Center, you'll need to restore it completely by donating all the materials necessary to complete the bundles. After this, the Joja Mart will close for good.

It's important to know that if you choose the Joja Mart route to turn the Community Center into a warehouse, then you will not be able to complete the Missing Bundle.

The Movie Theatre will still be available through Joja Mart quests, but you will not need to gather the Missing Bundle items.

One night while it is raining in your game, a cutscene will play, showing that lightning has destroyed part of the entrance, revealing a way into the abandoned Joja Mart.

You'll be met with a creepy atmosphere of bricks and the leftovers of the large corporation's Stardew Valley branch. You'll also see that there is one Junimo who didn't get to go back home with the others. This purple Junimo asks for one final bundle so that it can go back to the forest, and it's the hardest one to complete yet.

While the requested item list may seem daunting, the good news is that you won't need to source all six requested items. Since there are only five boxes beneath the item list, you only need to submit five items in the bundle.

The easiest items to obtain are Ancient Fruit, Prismatic Shards, Void Salmon, Caviar, and Silver-Quality Wine. Dinosaur Mayo can take a while to obtain, but you can opt to donate the other five items instead.

Where To Catch A Void Salmon

Stardew Valley: A gold quality void salmon in the witch's swamp

Void Salmon can only be found in the Witch's Swamp, which you can access once you've started the Dark Talisman quest. These fish can be a little tricky to reel in, so it's recommended you take advantage of the tackle you can buy from Willy, mainly the Cork Bobber or the Trap Bobber. Attach one of these to your Iridium Rod, and you'll be good to go.

You can use the Curiosity Lure to increase your chances of catching this rare fish.

Your Void Salmon needs to be gold or iridium quality, so you'll probably need to catch a few before you hook the right fish for the job.

For better luck with fishing, aim your cast when the meter is completely full. In addition, make sure you have a high fishing skill before attempting this.

Seafoam Pudding, Trout Soup, and some other recipes will help raise your fishing skill. Finally, get the Quality Bobber, which is rewarded from the Juicy Bugs Wanted! Special Order. The Quality Bobber increases the quality of fish caught by one full level.

How To Get Dinosaur Mayonnaise

Stardew Valley: An image of the Dinosaur Mayonnaise above an image of a coop filled with little Dinosaurs and Dinosaur eggs.

The Dinosaur Mayonnaise can be produced when you process a Dinosaur Egg in a Mayonnaise Machine for three hours. The Mayo isn't the hard part here — the egg is. If you already have a Dinosaur, they'll lay an egg every week, but if you don't already have a Dino, you can check out where to find a Dino Egg below.

It is also possible to find Dinosaur Eggs in the Crane Game which is unlocked as part of the Movie Theater, but as this guide is for unlocking said theater, this is not available to you just yet.

They're a pretty rare find, so it's a good idea to place the egg you find in the incubator of a coop.

A Dinosaur that emerges from the incubator will produce eggs once a week, so you can make even more Mayo for yourself, as well as donate an egg to Gunther's museum.

If you use the first one you find (or donate it), it may be a while before you find another.

The most reliable way to find Dinosaur Eggs is to clear monster floors in the Skull Cavern. Some monster floors will spawn three or more Dinosaurs, and if you're equipped with a good sword like the Lava Katana, you can take those Dinosaurs out with a few swings. While the 10 percent drop rate sounds low, it's better than other methods of obtaining an egg.

How To Get A Prismatic Shard

Stardew Valley: An image of a prismatic shard with the player fishing in the background.

Along with being one of the rarest materials found in the game, the Prismatic Shard can be used to obtain a few important items, like the Galaxy Sword and the Wedding Ring. It's also used in the Volcano Forge, as well as for some other purposes.

The Shard can, luckily, be obtained in a few ways, which you can learn about below.

You can only obtain the Prismatic Shard at the top of Volcano Dungeon at the top of Ginger Island's Volcano once.

You can also get a single guaranteed Prismatic Shard per day from the Statue of True Perfection, which is rewarded for having 100 percent completion. While it's technically possible to obtain it without completing the Missing Bundle, it's highly unlikely.

We recommend saving a Prismatic Shard if you find one earlier in the game. This will allow you to quickly donate this item when the time comes.

Stardew's 1.6 update also introduced Mystery Boxes to the game. Mystery Boxes function the same way that Geodes, Artifact Troves, and Golden Coconuts do, and can be cracked open by Clint. Mystery Boxes have a chance to contain Prismatic Shards.

How To Get Caviar

Stardew Valley: An image of Caviar floating above another image of a shed filled with full Caviar Preserves Jars.

The same update that added the Missing Bundle also unveiled the Fish Ponds, where you can place fish and create a habitat for them, then farm them for Roe, or fish eggs.

Caviar can be farmed and produced in these Fish Ponds. Sturgeon fish placed into a Fish Pond will produce Sturgeon Roe. Then, that Roe can be processed in a Preserves Jar to make Caviar. Other types of fish Roe will not work.

To catch a Sturgeon, you'll need to fish at the Mountain Lake from 6am to 7pm. This fish can only be caught in summer or winter.

How To Make High Quality Wine

Stardew Valley: An image of Silver Quality Wine hovering about another image of a full cellar of Casks.

Wine can be produced by placing any fruit into a Keg. It will take seven days to turn into Wine. However, for the Missing Bundle, the Wine needs to be of Silver quality or higher. The quality of Wine is increased to Silver quality by placing it in a Cask for 14 additional days.

The Wine can be removed from the Cask by using a Hoe, Axe, or Pickaxe once it reaches Silver quality, but you don't need any special tools to retrieve a fully aged Iridium wine. Iridium quality cask items are considered complete and can be harvested like any other Artisan Machine product when the completion bubble appears overhead.

In order to use Casks, you'll need to upgrade your farmhouse to have a basement. This is done by requesting the final upgrade from Robin after the first two upgrades. It'll cost you 100,000 gold.

Wine can also be bought from the Travelling Cart randomly, from the Statue of Endless Fortune, or received as a gift during the Feast of the Winter Star, but it'll still need to be aged, and these methods are unreliable.

How To Grow Gold-Quality Ancient Fruit

Stardew Valley: A Gold Quality Ancient Fruit hovering above an image of a Greenhouse filled with trees and Ancient fruit plants.

Lastly, we have Ancient Fruit. To get this item, you will need to first plant Ancient Fruit Seeds. Below, you can learn how to get these seeds.

Donating an Ancient Seed to the Museum

When you donate the Ancient Seed, you will get Ancient Fruit Seeds as a reward

The artifact version of this seed can be found in the following ways:

  • As a drop from bug-like monsters like the Grubs and the Mutant Flies.
  • From a treasure chest while fishing.
  • From an Artifact Trove.
  • Cutting foliage on the dinosaur-filled Prehistoric Floors of Skull Cavern.
  • In artifact spots in the Forest or the Mountains.

Planting the seeds in the Greenhouse is advised, as it takes 28 days to grow the Ancient Fruit, after which it will keep producing indefinitely every week.

If you've already managed to harvest one Ancient Fruit successfully, or you already have an Ancient Fruit plant in your Greenhouse, you can place one Ancient Fruit into the Seed Maker to obtain more Ancient Fruit seeds. This is a great way to increase the amount of Ancient Fruit plants you have at your disposal.

The Ancient Fruits for the Missing Bundle need to be gold quality, and you'll also need to donate five of them. There are two ways to increase the quality of crops: increase your Farming skill level, and plant the crop in a fertilized tile.

The best fertilizer to use for Ancient Fruits is the Deluxe Fertilizer, which can be bought in Qi's Walnut Room for 20 Qi Gems. The second-best fertilizer to use is the Quality Fertilizer which you can learn the recipe for at level nine Farming Skill. Both of these fertilizers have a chance to increase the quality of crops planted on that tile, but Deluxe Fertilizer has a higher boost rate.

Rewards For Completing The Missing Bundle

Stardew Valley: A split image with the Missing Bundle's requirements on the left and the abandoned Joja Mart on the right.

As a reward for completing the Missing Bundle, the abandoned Joja Mart will turn into a Movie Theatre.

Here, you can watch eight different movies that rotate on a two-year cycle. You will be able to invite guests to see a movie with you, as well as buy them snacks.

Inside the lobby, you can also find a crane machine with a large variety of possible rewards, including Dinosaur eggs.
